KIDS DIRECT If you are looking for an action-packed day out with the kids full of fun, excitement and adventure, then Park Hall Countryside Experience is the place to be. This great farm park can be found on the outskirts of Oswestry, easy to get to, just off the A483. Each time you visit Park Hall there seems to be a new activity added to the already long list of things to do at the farm and this summer is no exception. The first week of the school holidays gets off to a dazzling start with five days of ‘Unicorn Magic’ which includes shows, fun and games from 23 -27 July. Another summer highlight is the Amazing Maize Maze which opens from the end of July and continues right through until September. It’s numerous paths and dead ends will test your navigation skills, you’ll never have so much fun getting lost! Outdoor adventure playgrounds, space hoppers, 3D climbing globe, play houses and go karts are on route to

Groom ponies, cuddle rabbits, hand milk a real cow, lead the heavy horses or take a tractor ride and that’s not all‌ . Pig Racing is THE event not to be missed. Only one pig will sprint to victory, could it be yours? It’s hilarious and happens twice a day. Don’t miss out on the indoor action, New this year is the ‘Sand and Water Play Zone’, an innovative area of ‘hands on’ water activities situated next to the fantastic ‘Brickworks’ soft play construction zone. Theatretrain’s Summerschool holiday workshops return once again to The Forum Studio Theatre during the school holidays. This year’s themes include ‘Oliver!’, ‘We Will Rock You’, ‘High School Musical’ and ‘Matilda’. Details are at www.ChesterSummerschool.co.uk

Theatretrain was established in 1992 and has schools across the UK. It concentrates on two processes learning skills in the performing arts and performing those skills to an audience.

It's no wonder that Theatretrain have earned the reputation of being 'The Company That Loves To perform' as they continue to give their pupils plenty of opportunity to show off their skills. Theatretrain pupils have taken part in performances at The Forum Studio Theatre in Chester, The Stiwt in Wrexham, The Pavilion Theatre in Rhyl and The Palace Theatre in Manchester. In September they returned to perform once again at The Royal Albert Hall in London. All pupils are eligible to take part in Theatretrain productions without the need to audition.

They are already taking registrations for the Summer Term at their Saturday Morning Schools in Wrexham, Chester and Mold as well as the Friday Evening School at Chester's Forum Studio Theatre (the old Gateway Theatre) The group also offer TT Minis classes for children age 4-6. It’s a one and a half hour introduction to the performing arts. There is also a FREE half-hour Tinies class for three year

Abbey Road Acro which is based on the Wrexham Industrial Estate is an acrobatic and tumbling gymnastics club that features high performance gymnasts. The club which started in 2005 has gone from strength to strength and has all the latest training aids that makes learning and achieving goals easier. Children as young as four can join Abbey Road and enjoy the fun packed training sessions that develop their skills as acrobatic and tumbling gymnasts, as well as build their confidence and social skills. They also have recreational sessions for kids that just want to enjoy doing gymnastics without the pressure of competition. Their junior squads through to our elite squads have competed in many National and International competitions. They have a great team of coaches at the club, who are passionate about getting the best out of our gymnasts whether that be on a competitive or recreational level. We do however have to be careful not to over-do our strengths (a natural leader can become a bully, for example) or to ignore our weaker areas, because we can always develop these as well.
