Generell facts about the Harz Now we will present you one of the popularest vacaitionplace in Germany, the Harz. The Harz is the highest mountain range southly in Northgermany and lies at the cutpoint from Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.
The highest point in the Harz is the Brocken which is 1141.2 m high. The Harz is popular for his low temperature and the high rate of rain this is positiv in sommer and winter. Because in summer it´s not to hot and very enjoyable and in winter it´s cold and there is much snow for skiing and snowboarding.

The nature of the Harz
The Harz is famous for his beautiful nature. There are big areas of forest where the typical old forest animals like wild pigs, deers and rabbits live.
In the most forests in our region this animals were pushed back and the nature is not anymore untouched like in the Harz.
But the Harz is not just a big forest there are also beautiful mountains from which the view is breathtaking.

The nature of the Harz In Summer the Harz is perfect for walking, hiking, or to relax and to join the beautiful nature. In winter it is a big area for skiing, snowboarding or to go toboggan. Also snow hikings are offered.

Sightseeing In the Harz there are many leisure time activities for the whole family. There are things from mills and museums over carriages to many sport activities which can be done in the air, in snow or in the water. Of course there is also the ability to ride on the bike or walk on hiking trails. When you love adventures you can sleep in a tent on a camping place. On a day one can visit so many things. For example caves and pits, animal and wild parks, nature and national parks or lakes and dames (Ecktalsperre). There are also historical buildings like mills, a model railway and toy museum or the towers (PreuĂ&#x;en-/Bismarcktower). 6
Attractions for kids and family The Harz offers also sport activities like a climb forest, canoe tours or a big attraction: The “Monsterroller� so called on a race course. One can also do skiing and sliding in the winter and bicycle or
walking tours. When it is warm it is nice to use the Harzer paraglider there are also lakes for water leisure or summer slides. The Harz thought also especially for little children attractions for example a discoverer path or a fairytale forest. 7

Personal comment We have chosen the Harz firstly because of the fact it is a place were we all was one time. We liked it very much because we all joyed the beautiful nature. The most important point was that we all realized this little magic which is over the Harz and to feel this is a personal expirience we wish to show other people. To visit the Harz is very unique and not really expencive so it don´t have to be planed and organised before that much so it can be one of this unprompted short vacation.
