W

elcome to Seattle! At the beginning of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series in 1998, we set out to create the next great race in the world. By pure luck, we created a themed event, and by pure luck, the face of the sport has changed. The sport of running has never been more inclusive of everybody’s aspirations as it is today. In 2019, we’re stepping up our game to deliver a best-in-class race experience for runners around the world. Whether you’re a loyal fan, new to the family or looking for reasons to convince your friends to join you… trust us, you won’t want to miss running with us in 2019.

hether you are running to lose weight, change your life, set a personal best, or raise massive amounts for charity, everyone is welcome on our roads. Thank you for being a part of the 11th running of this incredible event. Thank you to the City of Seattle and all of its residents for the continued support, embracing road closures and waking up early to cheer on our runners. This is a race planned and produced by many hard working individuals who take great pride in every element of the participant experience. We hope you have the time of your life running through these cities and that you continue to make it a tradition with us for many years to come!

Additionally, we appreciate all of the fitness enthusiasts and music fans who unite to help St. Jude in the fight against childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases.

Our deep gratitude also goes to the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series for their amazing support, and to the residents of Seattle for opening their hearts and their city for this event, which promises to be even bigger and better this year.

We are also incredibly grateful to everyone who is participating this year as a St. Jude Hero®. Last year, our St. Jude Heroes raised $180,000 for the lifesaving mission of St. Jude, a record for this event. This support is so important in helping St. Jude continue its groundbreaking research and treatment of childhood cancer and other diseases that threaten children’s lives, helping kids at home and around the world.
