House Assistant
The Opportunity MacDowell, the nation's oldest multidisciplinary artist residency program, seeks a dependable and detail-oriented House Assistant to help sustain ideal working and living conditions for ~30 artists in residence. We are looking for a hard-working team player who will center MacDowell's core value of care for artists in their stewardship of studios and common spaces.
This position is full-time, 32 hours a week, from 7a to 12-2p daily. Prior cleaning experience, valid driver's license, and ability to lift 25-40 lbs. required.
Responsibilities
O Clean studios, dorms, and public buildings following organizational standards
O Sweep, scrub, vacuum, dust, assist with waste removal, and similar duties
O Launder linens
O Special event preparation, including Medal Day on June 29, 2025
O Contribute to a warm, welcoming environment for artists, staff, and guests
Compensation Compensation based on ex- perience ($18-21/hr), nonexempt, benefits include employer paid health and dental insurance; medical and dependent care FSA; contribu- tions to 403(b)-retirement account; generous paid time off.

PT/Seasonal Maintenance Laborer
The Peterborough Department of Public Works is accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Grounds Maintenance Laborer. This is a temporary/seasonal part-time position that will be staffed approximately 28 hours per week. The starting pay for this position is $15.50 per hour, but is negotiable based on experience.
Job responsibilities will include routine mowing and maintenance of cemeteries, parks, and recreation and facilities grounds. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Specific experience operating mowing and landscaping equipment is preferred but training can be provided.
