Membership is limited to faculty, staff, students and degree holding graduates of Georgia State University. Current students are members through their student fees. ACCESS

Ages 6-36 months. Parent(s) must participate in the water with the infant. This class teaches underwater acclimation while parents learn how to give their child a positive experience in the water. PRESCHOOL 10:35-11 a.m. $10, $20 Preschool 1 3 to 5 year olds who are new to the water will develop comfort in the water, learn water entry, bubble blowing, floating, kicking, underwater exploration and general water safety skills. Preschool 2

Prerequisite: Able to demonstrate completion requirements of Preschool 1. 3 to 5 year olds who are very comfortable in the water will learn new skills such as combined arm and leg action on front, treading with support and general water safety skills.

CARRYING SESSIONS FORWARD ONE SEMESTER

SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Personal training sessions include cardiovascular exercises, muscle strengthening and endurance exercises, and flexibility exercises. Nutrition consultation sessions include discussions about my dietary habits and goals for my nutritional intake based on my nutritional needs and within the scope of practice of the nutrition practitioner. I understand that sessions can only include matters within the scope of practice offered by the Fitness Center staff and their respective programs and services. The Fitness Center reserves the right to make referrals out rather than provide services to clients when issues exceed the scope of available services or scope of practice of the practitioner.

A maximum of three sessions (sessions, consultations, tests) may be carried forward for one semester (spring to summer; summer to fall; fall to spring). Any sessions not used by the end of the second semester will be forfeited.

Touch the Earth BREAK TRIPS

STEAMBOAT SKI & SNOWBOARD Wednesday-Tuesday, December 13-19, 2017 Join us for our annual trip to ski and snowboard at Steamboat Springs in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. Trip package includes direct roundtrip airfare, airport shuttle, six night stay in the luxurious Canyon Creek (fully equipped condominiums) at the base of the mountain, an evening dinner and four day lift ticket. • Reservations can be made a week in advance and must be made in person. • Must pay in full at the time of reservation. • Weekend rentals are priced on per night charge, no modifications to this rate will be made. • Reservation cancellations must be made at least one day in advance of the check-out date to receive a full refund minus a $5 handling fee. • A $1 per item per day late fee is charged in addition to the daily rental fee. Exception: Bikes are charged $20 per day. • Upon return, all tents will receive a full inspection. Pending the number of returns, inspection could take place within a week of return. • For equipment that needs to be repaired or cleaned, you will be charged $15/hour, up to original cost of the equipment. Fees associated to these costs will be assessed within a week of equipment return. • Failure to pay late fees or damages may result in a hold on your account or suspended rental privileges.

LEAD CLIMBING

Experienced climbers may lead climb routes during normal hours. You must follow the designated lead route. Ask about a Lead Climbing Certification Clinic to certify or challenge out. You must be belay certified for at least six months or prove significant experience. Cost: $5, $5, $10 BOULDERING CAVE

The cave has both vertical and horizontal overhanging terrain. Any skill level may use it in a “no ropes” bouldering format. It is located across from racquetball court #4 adjacent to the Climbing Wall. Check in with the Climbing Wall attendant.

Focus is on creative problem solving and effective communication. The experience will increase trust and enhance group cohesion. Programs are tailored to meet the needs of the group. LOCATION Sites vary depending the group’s preference. Groups may choose facilities and grounds from our our challenge course at Indian Creek Recreation Area, the downtown campus or off-campus locations. RESERVATIONS Complete online reservation. Reserve date and make payment at least four weeks in advance. Confirm all details two weeks in advance. A minimum of a 10 person charge is required but larger or smaller groups are easily accommodated. Sessions may range from two hours, half-day or full day. PRICING* Students per person: Two-hour event is $8, half-day is $10, full day $30. Staff per person: Two-hour event is $15, half-day is $20, full day $40. *deli-style lunch available for half and full day programs for an additional $5/person.

Individual rooms or the entire lodge may be reserved by chartered student organizations, faculty or staff departments for university approved meetings and for personal events by recreation members. The lodge has a large meeting room, two breakout rooms, an open lobby reception area with fireplace, decks with seating and a catering kitchen. If you would like to host your event outside, we also have available for reservation a half acre event lawn.
