It is extremely rewarding to read the end of semester reports when so many of our students have achieved excellent results. What is also pleasing is to see the very high number of students who have achieved excellent in the ‘work habits’ section of their reports. To the staff, students and families who have worked together to contribute to the success of our students, thank you! Reports will be posted this week and students timetables for Semester 2 will be included. Staffing has been finalised for Semester 2 and we are fully staffed which will assist us to continue improving outcomes for students. I hope everyone enjoys a well deserved rest. Safe travels. Year 12 Update

Congratulations to the Year 12s who have made it past the half way mark and can now see the light at the end of the tunnel. In Week 9 we had a lovely dinner at Knott’s Crossing to celebrate; the food and company were fantastic! I encourage students to keep working hard and to ensure that they make it to all their classes. I know that as the year goes on and everyone gets tired there is a tendency to slacken off however, it is still really important to keep up with work and attend classes. In the last week of the holidays the school will be open to the Year 12s, where they can attend study sessions for particular classes and have access to teachers and school resources. This program will be very beneficial for Year 12’s and it would be great to see as many Year 12s there as possible. Timetables have been given to students. Cara Fullwood Year 12 Coordinator

Earn & Learn 2012

Woolworths Promotion Support Katherine High School in the 2012 Earn and Learn Program by simply collecting stickers at the checkout of any Woolworths supermarket (self-service too) until August 2012. There will be one sticker for every $10 spent, excluding purchases of liquor, smoking/tobacco products and gift cards. Stickers can be collected by Homegroup Teachers or placed into a collection box, either at the front office or at our local Woolworths.
