How to make your own comics online.

The easiest comics you can make is on this website: http://www.makebeliefscomix.com/ You don’t have to register/log in here. All the activities will be carried out intuitively.

Remember! Your comics should be done right away as you cannot save it on the website, you cannot edit it after leaving the application after an hour or the next day.

Here are a few tips how to make your own comics: 1.When you go on the main website, click on „ENTER HERE!”.

2.Type in the title of your comic strip, then write your name.

3. Select the type of your comic strip. You can create a comic strip containing 2, 3 or 4 scenes and mind that it is not possible to select a different layout of the comic book.

4. Now select the background scenes. Each scene of your comic strip may have a different background colour. Unfortunately, the choice of colours is very limited:

5. Now you can select characters of the scene. When you move the red slider under the window selection, you will see more characters.

6.After selecting the character, you can choose the right pose, appropriate to the situation, which is presented on the stage. To do this, click on the arrow pointing left and right under the window with the selected character.

7. Clicking on the character in the „Selection window” will make that the character will appear on the selected scene of your comic strip. On the left side of the screen there is a panel with tools for minor modifications of inserted elements.

You should bear it in mind that firstly you should click on the tool you want to use, then click on an item in the scene (eg. a character), to get an effect.

8. When you press the button „Move” (look at the first grey arrow in the picture below), it is possible to catch the selected item on the scene (eg. the character) and move it anywhere in the scene.

9. The button „Scale” (the second grey arrow in the above image) enables to change the size of the selected element. When you click on this button and then on the item, there is a sliding scale next to the button. By moving the slider up or down, you can enlarge or reduce the element respectively.

10.The buton „Bring to front” (the third grey arrow in the above image) moves the element to the front if it is partially covered by another component.

11.The buton „Flip” (the fourth grey arrow in the above image) flips the element across.

12. The buton „Delete” (the fifth grey arrow in the above image) deletes the element from the scene.

13. The buton „Start over” (the sixth grey arrow in the above image) clears all the scenes and allows you to start working again. Be careful with it then  14. When the characters are already inserted on the stage, you can add onomatopoeic words, gadgets and background from „Select our words, objects and background” on the right.

15. Then you can choose text balloons. There are two types of balloons: imaging speaking (on the left) and illustrating thinking (on the right). Clicking on arrows under „Selection window”, you can make them smaller/bigger, etc.

16. To enter the text in the balloon, you need to double-click it. Warning! In this application you cannot change the font type or choose its colour. Font size can be changed only when you change the size of the bubble (using the Scale).

17. By using the above tools you can create all the scenes that make up the comic strip. After finishing, you can print your comic strip or send it by an e-mail to yourself (not to lose it) or to your colleagues if you want to share it with them. To do this, choose „PRINT/EMAIL” button.
