French Train Tour 10 Days/9 Nights
Embark on an adventure through France with this 9 night independent train tour! Stay in hand picked amazing accommodations including a boutique hotel in Paris and five star properties in Lyon and the French Riviera. Visit Monet’s Garden, Paris, Lyon, Cotes du Rhone and the French Riviera. Day 1, Paris: Arrive at the Paris airport and make your way to your Paris boutique hotel. This will be your base for the next three nights to explore Paris and the surrounding areas. Here you will have a skip the line museum pass and a transportation pass so that you can explore Paris on your own. Day 2, Paris: This morning after breakfast, enjoy Paris with your museum pass. You may choose to travel to Versaille or take in the famous Louvre. Go shopping, enjoy a morning market, climb the famous Eiffel or take in some of the lesser known attractions. Overnight in Paris. Day 3, Paris, Giverny: This morning after breakfast, you will join a group tour to take a daytrip to nearby Giverny. Here you will get the chance to enjoy Monets garden. Overnight in Paris. Day 4, Lyon: After breakfast at the hotel, take the train to Lyon, the capital of gastronomy. Check in to your five star boutique hotel. This will be your base for the next three nights. Explore the city on foot, take in a walking tour of the traboules or the silk district. Overnight in Lyon.
Lyon. You may choose to check out the gourmet marketplace Les Halles. Or you may choose to explore French cuisine in one of the may michelin starred restaurant. Overnight in Lyon. Day 6, Lyon, Cotes du Rhone: Today after breakfast, enjoy a full day wine and chocolate tour of the Cote du Rhone. Overnight in Lyon. Day 7-9 French Riviera: Today, make your way to the French Riviera. You may choose to make your base for three nights in Marseille, Cannes or Nice. Or you may choose to do a night in each! Here you will explore the French Riviera. You may choose to visit fabulous Monte Carlo, Saint Tropez or even the quaint town of Eze perched high over the coastline. Day 10, DEPARTURE: After breakfast at your hotel, early afternoon departure from Nice airport. Alternatively, take the high-speed train back to Paris to fly out.
