N Smeltende gletsjers, brandende wouden, onder water gelopen steden, oorlogen,... De beelden die de media dagelijks op ons netvlies projecteren zijn het vertrekpunt van End. Door middel van tien ‘figuren’ toont performancekunstenaar Kris Verdonck de mogelijke eindfase van een menselijke samenleving. Een futuristische nachtmerrie of een nabije realiteit? In End ontmoeten beeldende kunst en theater elkaar in een reeks met elkaar verbonden installaties. F Glaciers en fonte, forêts en feu, villes inondées, guerres, catastrophes naturelles... Les images que les médias projettent quotidiennement sur nos rétines constituent le point de départ du spectacle End. En dix tableaux, l’artiste de performance Kris Verdonck nous présente la possible phase finale d’une société humaine. Cauchemar futuriste ou réalité proche ? End réunit les arts plastiques et le théâtre dans une série d’installations reliées entre elles. E Melting glaciers, burning forests, drowned cities, wars, environmental disasters. The starting point for End is the images the media fire at us day in day out. Using ten ‘figures’, the performance artist Kris Verdonck shows what might be the finale stage of human society. Is this a futurist nightmare or an imminent reality? In End art and theatre meet: sitting in a theatre, the audience watches a series of interconnected installations.
