January 2012

Happy New Year Church Family! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that blessings flowed. Wow, another year has passed, and 2012 is here. I can honestly say that this last year was challenging and exciting. We saw many miracles and impartations. God spoke so many things and imparted so much that we could never list it all. I think that as we all just sit back we could just say, “Wow” and be so thankful for what God has done in every one of our lives. Francine and I both believe that we pastor the greatest congregation on this earth, and it will just get better. As we move forward, the Lord has impressed upon me to share some things with you as we tackle this next year. The first thing is that we need to make the Bible our number one priority this year. Read it. Study it. Know what it says. Know when and how to apply it to your life. Practice the things that are in

it. Know what God’s principles are, and beyond that, where they apply in our life, and apply them. We need to do more than just know them. The second thing is to really understand 2 Corinthians 10:4, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God…” We don’t have to wrestle against anyone. This is a spiritual battle that we are facing. The very thing that we will not deal with is the thing that Satan will use to take us out. We must deal with it. Submit to God, take authority, and run with Him. Your greatest enemy is you and your thoughts. Take the thoughts captive, and give yourself to God and His Word. Faith is what pleases Him, and this is the year to increase it. The third thing is to keep your mind sharp. Philippians 4:8 says we can’t fear what man will say or what man will do to us. We have to

stay clear of the natural, and focus on spiritual things. We have to be meditating on the right things. We have to meditate on the holy, just, pure, good—all the things that God is. We have to have a sound mind and not give in to fear. We must have a spirit of love and put into practice the fruits of the Spirit this year (Galatians 5:22). We must practice the fruit and know when to practice it. The last thing that we will have to increase is prayer. (continued on page 2)

(continued from front page) We can’t think that we can have more responsibility in the kingdom and not increase our carpet time. What are we praying about, and do we mean our prayers, or are we praying because it’s the right thing to do? Our prayers are powerful, so let us lift up our leadership and our church families here and then our community.

We love you so much and thank you for being a part of this church body. I pray God blesses you this year in a greater way than the past. I speak life, strength, health, joy, and protection over you in this new year, and we PRESS FORWARD INTO ALL THAT GOD HAS FOR US.

PROPHETIC WORD FOR 2012 - Pastor Jeff Wells

I

’m getting ready to take you to new places. I’m getting ready to take you to higher levels. I’m getting ready to speak things to you that you’ve never heard before, or if you have you’ve said “well that’s not God”. I’m getting ready to tell you things that you’ve actually been hearing for a long time. I never go back on my word. I never go back on what I’ve promised you. I never go back on the power that I said that I’d give you. Get ready! Get ready! Cause as sure as the snow’s gonna fall, I’m about to pour my spirit out on you. There’s gonna be new things that I show you in the word that have been there all the time. They’re right there. They’re gonna be yours for the taking, but it’s not so you can have them just for you personally, it’s so you can share my power, it’s so you can share my anointing, its so you can share the good news, that I sent my son to heal the sick, to deliver you! To make the lame rise! To make the blind see! Miracles are coming! Healings are coming! Deliverances are coming! But it’s time to make the paths straight. It’s time to make the paths straight. And walk with me! You watch! See not that I will do the things that I said that I would do, but make the paths straight!!!

We all have mountains that we’re dealing with in our lives, but until we deal with the root of the problem they will continue. In Mark 11:22, the Word shows us how the fig tree withered from the roots up after Jesus spoke to it. If we deal with the root, the fruit that it’s causing in our lives will go.

Saturday, Jan 28 at 5:00 pm. All young adults 18 and older are invited to join us for Praise and Worship plus a Bible Study and discussion. The Well is committed to developing Christ-centered friendships & meeting the needs of youth as they make their way into adulthood. Got questions about The Well?
