On March 8, 2022, the Junior League of Greensboro held its third annual Giving Day fundraiser. This year’s theme was aligned with our overall JLG theme of “Believe in the power of Women,” a nod to our incredible membership and the new and creative ways the women of the League have found to make a positive impact on the Greensboro community.

Giving Day fundraisers are held by organizations around the world and primarily use social media and email to connect with stakeholders and supporters to build toward a common goal. Launched in 2020, the JLG’s Giving Day drew on the nostalgia of the days of the telethon to build a new fundraiser for our multigenerational membership.

Since its inception, Giving Day has raised over $85,000 in support of the Junior League of Greensboro and its mission to promote voluntarism, develop the potential of women, and improve our community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. THIS YEAR’S GIVING DAY FUNDRAISER RAISED OVER $16,000 THROUGH ONLINE DONATIONS AND PLEDGES.

We are grateful for the ability to continue to support the Greensboro community because of these donations. We would like to thank every person who donated to our campaign, shared what the Junior League of Greensboro means to them, and helped us get the word out about Giving Day. We couldn’t have done it without you!
