Cursos universitarios El área de Educación y Cultura del Cabildo organizará junto a las dos universidades canarias 18 cursos y talleres en 2011, además de una cuarta edición de la Universidad para mayores de 55 años.

1967: Elizabeth Taylor visita Santa Cruz de Tenerife
The building has got a surface of 207 m2 and it has been designed by the local architect Luis Díaz Feria. A total of € 342.000 has been invested. It has a multi-purpose room with other four rooms adaptable to different needs of young people. There is a meeting space to organize activities and for courses.

Club de Emprendedores
Inaugurada la Escuela Infantil de La Villa. El edificio es del arquitecto Martín Martín. La obra ha costado 647.000€ y su dotación, 70.000€. Tiene capacidad para 49 niños y está dedicada María Dolores Armas Álvarez (Lola), encargada de la limpieza y del reparto de la leche en las antiguas escuelas de Santo Domingo. The Children’s School of La Villa has been inaugurated. The building has been designed by the architect Martín Martín. A total of € 647.000 has been spent in its construction in addition of other 70,000 € in extras. It has got a capacity for 49 children and has been dedicated to María Dolores Armas Álvarez (Lola), responsible for the cleaning and the distribution of milk in the old schools of Santo Domingo.
La operadora cultural Nortápolis y Cine Víctor han producido la exposición “Cine I”, una retrospectiva al mundo cinematográfico a través de la obra de algunos de los mejores artistas de pintura, fotografía y escultura del panorama actual. El fotógrafo Antonio Pallés Sala expone una fotografía de Elizabeth Taylor en el hotel Mencey cuando pasó por Santa Cruz de Tenerife en 1967. Hasta el 12 de enero.

Nortápolis, cultural operator, and Victor Cinema have produced the exhibition “Cine I”, a retrospective exposure to the film world through the work of some of the best artists in painting, photography and sculpture of the current scene. Photographer Antonio Pallés Sala exposes a photograph of Elizabeth Taylor in Mencey Hotel when she passed through Santa Cruz de Tenerife in 1967. The exhibition will be open until the 12th of January.
