Enhancing our community through our nonprofit and specialized programming.
As we head into the final quarter of the year, I am filled with immense gratitude for you, our members, who are the heart of our Chamber. Your continued dedication and support are what fuel our mission to Promote and Sustain Economic Prosperity in Boca Raton and South Palm Beach County. We execute this mission through our core pillars — Connecting Members, Advancing Commerce, Protecting Business, and Enhancing the Community — all of which are made possible thanks to you!
In this issue, we place a spotlight on one of our most cherished pillars: Enhancing the Community. We are excited to share how we brought together nonprofit organizations with for-profit businesses to raise awareness and essential funds through our signature program, Boca Chamber Festival Days (BCFD). For 47 years, BCFD has been a testament to the power of collaboration, helping local non-profits in partnership with for-profits to create engaging and fun-filled events. This is only possible because of the unwavering support of these for-profit organizations. A special thank you to our sponsor, Allegiance Home Heath, whose generosity and commitment continue to uplift our community.
BCFD held memorable events like Salsa Night, Lip Sync Battle, Celebrity Cook-Off, Boca’s Got Talent, and so many others. These events not only brought joy and connection to our community, but also provided critical funding to the non-profits. This fusion of fun and philanthropy truly reflects the strength of our Chamber family. You can explore more about BCFD and its impact on page 5.
"The Chamber’s success is a direct reflection of the incredible commitment and generosity of our members."
We are equally proud of The Boca Chamber's non-profit arm, The Golden Bell Education Foundation. Golden Bell embodies the Chamber’s dedication to education and community growth. This year, through the generosity of our supporters, the Foundation distributed over $100,000 in grants to 24 local public schools. Since its founding 31 years ago, Golden Bell has donated nearly $2 million to support thousands of students and classrooms, preparing our future leaders with essential business and career skills. Your contributions make these achievements possible, and for that we are deeply grateful. The volunteer leader at the helm of Golden Bell is Chuck Stout, the Foundation Chairman of the Board. We had the opportunity to sit down with Chairman Stout to learn more about the Foundation and what makes it unique. Turn to pages 12-13 to learn more.
In addition to grants, Golden Bell offers life-changing experiences for young entrepreneurs through the Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!). YEA! has empowered hundreds of middle and high school students to start and operate their own real businesses. Your continued belief in our students enables them to unlock their potential and dream big. Learn more about this year’s budding entrepreneurs on page 9.
And of course, we can’t forget the incredible energy brought to life during our annual fundraiser, the Golden Bell Battle of the Bands! This event was an unforgettable celebration of our community’s talent, passion, and generosity, as we collectively raised money for Golden Bell and the students of Boca Raton's K-12 schools. Turn to page 8 for highlights from this year’s event, where our amateur bands battled it out in support of local education. Your participation and contributions help make these moments possible.
As we look ahead, I want to express my heartfelt thanks to every one of you. The Chamber’s success is a direct reflection of the incredible commitment and generosity of our members. Together, we are building a stronger, more vibrant community, where businesses thrive, students succeed, and our region continues to be the best place to Live, Work, Learn, and Play.
With deepest gratitude,
Troy M. McLellan, CCE, FCCP President & CEO

Boca Chamber Festival Days Uniting Businesses with Non-Profits for a Better Boca!
The 47th annual Boca Chamber Festival Days have come and gone, leaving the Boca Chamber members and community of South Palm Beach County with lasting smiles as we reflect on the positive impact we've made within our community!
This August, we hosted an impressive lineup of twenty-six events involving twenty-six nonprofit organizations. Among the highlights were several new events, standing proudly alongside the cherished traditions of our heritage events. It's worth noting that some events were so popular that they sold out quickly. Our community enjoyed bowling, local talent, happy hours, a fashion show, and even a lip sync contest, to name just a few.
Most importantly, we're delighted to announce that we raised close to $200,000 in August to support these non-profit organizations in their pursuit of current and future objectives. Allegiance Home Health returned as our sponsor, with Rosie Inguanzo Martin serving as Chair. In the spirit of fun and exposure, we even took our beloved flamingo mascot and his friends, and "flocked" several Boca businesses.
For those interested in learning more or securing a spot for your event in 2025, please contact Sarah Pearson – sperson@bocachamber.com or 561-395-4433 ext. 238.

THE THE CLASS OF 2024 YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS ACADEMY (YEA!) IS UNDERWAY!
YEA! is a premier program that trains local middle and high school students on the entrepreneurial way of life. YEA!’s direct mission is to help students embrace their passion, energy, creativity, and talents as they learn about launching a venture. The program exposes students to various entrepreneurship concepts as they learn from business leaders within the Boca community through instructors, guest speakers, and business mentors.
The program has two public events—the CEO Roundtable and Elevator Pitch Competition—culminating in a “Shark Tank” Style Investor Panel Presentation event in which participants can win seed money to launch their business idea. The final event each year produces a winner that will go on as a semi-finalist in the National Young Entrepreneurs Academy Saunders Competition held in Rochester, New York.
This most recent graduating class was top notch and produced three student business presentations to represent Boca:
• Juan Rojas – “Sparke Soccer” Soccer uniforms for children soccer teams
• Mateo Goldberger – “The Cafetero Club” International coffee subscription
• Sean Alba, Ethan Brady, Henry Levinson – “3GG” Golf club cleaning product
These semi-finalists were not only able to compete against students from across the country but were also able to spend time networking and making connections with like-minded peers. The YEA! Program is supported by generous sponsors and donors who believe in educating the next generation on how to be successful business leaders.

Preparing Students for the Jobs of the Future
CHUCK STOUT AND THE GOLDEN BELL EDUCATION FOUNDATION
We sat down with the Chairman of the Golden Bell Education Foundation to hear more about this important initiative, what they are doing to help positively impact our community, and what makes the Foundation unique.
Q. For those who don't know the man, the myth, the legend, who is Chuck Stout and how did you become involved in giving back to the community of Boca Raton?
I have been an insurance consultant specializing in the employee benefits market for 35 years. When I first opened my own insurance agency in 1991, I was encouraged to join the Boca Chamber. Once I joined, I decided to get very involved. I joined a Leads Group and attended every networking event I could. Through my involvement, I met people who were very active in the community. Going through Leadership Boca was a real eye opener as to the needs of our community. I have never been a person who just wants to simply join an organization. If I join, I want to contribute to that organization.
Q. What inspired you to become involved with the Golden Bell Education Foundation and how has your experience as Chairman influenced your perspective on the importance of education in driving economic growth and development in our community?
I have always believed a good education system is critically important. I married a teacher so I have seen first hand the care and dedication it takes to be an effective educator. Unfortunately, many schools are underfunded and the teachers need supplemental funding in order to purchase the materials they require for programs such as reading intervention or materials for some of the Academies within our schools. Our Boca Raton public school system is doing a great job of preparing students for the jobs of the future. The students of today become our employees and business leaders of tomorrow!
To learn more about the Golden Bell Education Foundation, please visit www.goldenbelleducationfoundation.org.
Q. What do you believe makes the Golden Bell Education Foundation unique and impactful?
I don’t know of any other community or Chamber of Commerce which supports their local public schools to the extent we are able to here in Boca Raton. We have a business community which is engaged and inspired to help our teachers reach their utmost potential. I know Golden Bell is having a major impact because my Board and I visit every school to see our donations in action. We get such positive feedback from the Principals and teachers each time we visit.
Q. Battle of the Bands: A rock concert, a fundraiser and a TON OF FUN…How has this event impacted the foundation’s efforts to raise awareness and funds?
This event has been such a success for Golden Bell! We have tried many types of fundraising activities over the years but Battle of the Bands has taken us to a new level. Each year this event gives us an opportunity to select a new group of business leaders to learn about Golden Bell and promote the great work of the Foundation through their fundraising efforts. The amount of money raised and the amount of promotion we get from this event has enabled us to keep raising the bar on the amount of money we are able to donate to local public schools each year.
Q. In what ways can local businesses and residents contribute to the Foundation’s initiatives?
The Boca Chamber has so many successful businesses based here. The leaders of these businesses understand the value a good education can have on their recruiting efforts and the ability to grow their business. One major goal I have is for local businesses to commit to donating to Golden Bell directly on an annual basis. I would like to “team up” businesses with a particular school or program which they can help support for an ongoing basis. For example, for the past several years West Boca Medical Center has helped to fund medical devices needed for West Boca High School’s Medical Academy. Several other businesses have stepped up in a similar fashion, but I know we can do much better!
Q. Looking ahead, what is your vision for the Golden Bell Education Foundation in the next 5-10 years?
My goal is to be able to fulfill each and every request we receive from the Principals and teachers on an annual basis. We currently give away a little over $100,000 each year but the amount requested each year continues to grow. This past year, we had over $250,000 in requested funds. Since the Boca Chamber has now extended its reach into Boynton Beach, I would like us to be able to raise enough money to help the Boynton Beach public schools as well.
This year, the Golden Bell Education Foundation fulfilled over $100,000 in grants to local Boca public schools by administering funds and educational programs that promote business skills for students.
