City of Vancouver Honors JFS with Healthy City Award

JFS received the Healthy City for All Award in May from the City of Vancouver. Proud to be amongst notable award winners, JFS was recognized for its response to the food security issues brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. Not only was JFS the only food program to transition their grocery and meal program to 100% delivery, we also opened the JFS Kitchen in Mount Pleasant, enhancing the food security model in real-time to better serve community needs in crisis. This award reflected the incredible dedication of JFS board members, staff, volunteers, and community partners eager to help keep our doors open and programs operational. We are grateful to the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver for the nomination.
