NOVEMBER WHATEVER IT TAKES JESSE PROCTOR NOMINATED GINA HAUBERT FOR THE NOVEMBER WHATEVER IT TAKES AWARD Jesse said, “Gina always has the solutions to issues we have in the shop and will do whatever it takes to help. Nothing gets by Gina!” Gina was presented with a trophy, a “Whatever It Takes” designated parking space in front of the building, and a $50 QuikTrip gas card. Gina will also have the honor of naming next month’s WIT winner.

RECRUITER OF THE MONTH Gina Bartley wrote, “Congratulations goes to Jennifer Brake for her outstanding performance during the month of November! She takes away the prize and title for RECRUITER OF THE MONTH! Jen has been with us since October 2016 and continues to shine. She is working remotely and has been since the start of COVID. Even through the craziness of 2020, Jen is able to stay on top and on point allowing her professional skill to guide her. She got MAD SKILL! I am very proud to present the Recruiter of the Month award to Jennifer. She will receive a ½ day off of her choice and lunch on us! She is a huge asset to our department and JCT, so please take the time to congratulate her. Thank you for everything you do Jennifer! We love you!”

DRIVER MANAGER OF THE MONTH Tyler Preston wrote, “The winner for October Driver Manager of the month – Russ Harlow!!! This is the second time that Russ has won the award during his tenure. Russ does a great job taking care of his drivers, helping his peers, and is a team player! Congratulations Russ! You will be awarded a snooze or cruise pass allowing you to take half a day off! Everyone stay at it and keep doing a great job!”


ATTA BOY Dwayne Barker called to give an Atta Boy to driver Bill Younger. Dwayne said, “Late Friday night my friend, Cynthia, was heading to Tulsa and ended up hitting a deer and getting stranded in the middle of nowhere, by herself. She was very frightened. JCT driver Bill Younger saw her car and stopped his truck to help. He reassured her things were going to be okay, helped her cleaned up the car, and made sure it was safe to drive into Tulsa. He then followed her in his truck to make sure she got to her destination safely. It meant a great deal to Cynthia. Bill represents your company well and is an outstanding driver.�

Meet Tommy Coffman! Tommy came to JCT for our lease purchase program and because we run a lot in and through Texas. His motivation for working towards owning his own truck is his 4 girls.

OF THE MONTH CHRISTOPHER TIBBS

Gage Brooks nominated Christopher Tibbs. Gage said, “Chris has always been on top of everything since the first day he was assigned to my board. If he even thinks there is going to be the slightest delay on delivery, he will advise us on what is happening. He is very trustworthy, and I do not doubt him at any time if he says he will make it on time.”

JONATHON CARLTON

Charles Richards nominated Jonathon Carlton. Charles said, “Jonathan consistently does a great job, he gets his loads delivered and picked up on time, does not hardly ever gripe about anything and he is a good person that I am proud to have on my board. He communicates regularly and will go just about anywhere that you ask him to go.”

FRED CHAPMAN

Jennifer Heisley nominated Fred Chapman. Jen said, “On November 6th, L4273 received a phone call from our weekend/night crew to see if he could check on one of our drivers that’s truck caught fire. Traffic was backed up on I10 around Ft. Stockton Texas and Fred was behind the accident some ways. When he arrived at the scene our driver was obviously shook up. Fred offered to help give him a ride to the nearest hotel. It’s acts of kindness like this that we don’t see often enough anymore. Thank you, Fred, for helping one of our drivers out in a time of need. Thank you for all you do out there and thank you for making the highway your home!”

TODD RIGHTLEY

Brian Stewart nominated Todd Rightley (no picture shown). Brian said, he has been with us for just over 7 years and in that time has never had a service failure. He is always willing to help, takes any load that is offered, and always gets it where it needs to go.”

Josh Muskrat nominated Jay Groot, Josh said, “Jay always has a great attitude. Team player which makes him very easy to work with. Has helped us out on several tough swaps to save OTD. Solid trip planner and great w/ communication. He’s built a reputation for being a notoriously great driver!”

Hollie Taylor nominated Jason Coll. Hollie said, “Jason is an amazing driver who goes above and beyond every day. He helps when needed and always makes on time deliveries. Jason had an unfortunate event and lost everything in a truck fire. He picked right back up and kept moving. He is a great asset to the company. Thanks, Jason, for all you do!”

NORM THOMAS

Russell Harlow nominated Norm Thomas. Russ said, “Norm Thomas deserves to be recognized for Driver of the Month. He is always is on top of time management and always available to help. Norm even gave up a home bound load to help another driver out during the holidays to keep a load in route and on time. We did end up getting home a little late. However, Norm has a great attitude and easy to work with.”

TRAVIS HOOVER

Dale Smith nominated Travis Hoover. Dale said, “This driver is always willing to help me out with things whenever I’m in a pinch. He is definitely capable of keeping the wheels turning on his truck & it really shows with the number of miles he drove last month as he knocked out almost 14,000 miles as a solo driver. Travis was willing to stay on the road & work during Thanksgiving & I really admire that about this driver.”

Keith nominated his team, Shawn Lee & Jacquelyn Hethering. Keith said, “This team does very well. Always willing to help the swap team and have a great attitude”.

Sarah Whitworth nominated Myron “Frank” Colburn. Sarah said, “Frank has been on my board since he joined JCT in July 2019. He is a very consistent and safe driver. He has no service failures and logs a lot of miles. Frank is easy to talk to, always willing to help and gets the job done. I’m grateful that Frank is on my board. He makes my job easier. I also want to point out that Frank is a veteran and want to thank him for his service. Because of Frank and all veterans, we have the chance to live and work in a country that businesses like JCT can flourish in. Thank-you Frank for your service to our country and to your great work here at JCT.”

Tom Cowan nominated his team, Kellie Morin & Mike Yerger. Tom said, “Kellie and Mike are an excellent team. They are always helping with swaps to get loads delivered on time. They seem happy to be truck drivers delivering essential freight to our customers.”

GLENN PADGETT

Travis Hutton nominated Glenn Padgett. Travis said, “He has been with me from my day one, he is a great driver that does all he can for JCT! I never hear him complain or tell me no without reason, he is always willing to help if he can. He doesn’t expect special treatment or a pat on the back. He does his job to the best of his ability and that’s all I ask of my guys. He is definitely one of the best, just don’t ask him to do a 34hr. He is a model driver and I am very proud to have him on my fleet and as my driver of the month! Thank you, Glenn, for all you do buddy! God Bless!”

Ryan Smoot nominated Jerry Williams. Ryan said, “Jerry takes every load we throw at him and always has a plan for OTD! Mr. Jerry is always happy to help other drivers out when he has the chance for home time swaps.”

JIMMY RABACA

Sean Layman nominated Jimmy Rabaca. Sean said, “Jimmy, is a mentor, he knows the business, he knows how to handle his time, and how to keep on the road. Jimmy is constantly saving loads for us and enjoys the challenge of it. He has been a great mentor to many newcomers on my board and does his best to help them to succeed. He also always has a great attitude and loves to share stories. It is a privilege to be his DM.”

Amye Alvarez nominated Daniel Schepis. Amye said, “Daniel does his job and he is very good at it. I seldom hear from him unless he is having issue at shipper or receiver and when I do, he is always very polite and easy to work with.”

Will Jones with he and Shaila’s pet Squirrel, Creepy. They found her when her eyes weren’t open yet. They bottle fed her until they could let her go and now she comes to visit from time to time.
