True, but if it weren't for its 95% Carbon-dioxide atmosphere, the temperature at the surface of Venus would be over 4,000F degrees. Carbon-dioxide, and all the "greenhouse gases" like Water Vapor, cool the earth by over 180F degrees, and they do the same for Venus. Greenhouse gases do keep a little heat in, but the Net Effect is a great cooling of the Earth's and of Venus' surface.
