David Carson poster We like this poster because the text is bold and stands out. There are varies different directions of text and sizes. This poster is a promotion of his own work and his name. The colours are very negative which gives it a sinister effect. The background text is over lapped, this makes it hard to read and understand what is going on. This form of text is a recurring theme in his work.

Vans posters

Illustration !   A picture illustrating a book, newspaper, etc. The

action or fact of illustrating something.

!   Illustration is a image using a range of various

methods, this could include, paint, computer, drawing and picture collages.

!   Illustrations normally have a narrative or purpose, they

tell stories, convey message and sell products.

!   They could be seen on cereal boxes, billboards,

advertisements, clothing and online.

Rob Ryan Ryan’s illustrations are attractive because he has black and white Photoshop threshold and in illustration the shapes he has created goes well, the composition of a child and a mother in the middle is also very loved and the birds on the trees branches shows love, the theme of this image would be relationships and love because it has birds and a child too.

Alzheimer !   It’s a form of dementia that progresses

and gets worse over time, eventually leading to death. Till this day there is no found cure.

!   It was named after Alois Alzheimer in

1906, diagnosed people 65 years old, in 2006 26.6 million sufferers worldwide, it is predicted to affect 1 in 85 people globally by 2050.

Gerhard Richter This image shows problems associated with alzheimers. The picture is really exposed and fading away. You get a ghost effect which could indicate the girl has passed away. This could also mean that memory is fading away. The colours are very simple and dull what gives it an airy feel.
