NAR TO PROVIDE ABR COURSEWORK AT NO COST
NAR has announced that it will provide its members with no-cost access to the Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®) designation course, helping REALTORS® communicate their value to buyers in this ever-evolving real estate landscape.
The ABR® course, a $295 value, focuses on “the key information and skills you need today when working with buyers, so you can be prepared to articulate and demonstrate your value and help buyers understand written buyer representation agreements,” says NAR President Kevin Sears
From late February through the end of the year, members can complete the course via a live interactive webinar or online at their own pace.

On page one of the purchase and sale agreement, the specific term titled “Buyer Brokerage Compensation”

IMPORTANT: New BOI Reporting RequirementMandatory for ALL Business Owners
The U.S. Treasury's Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FINCEN) has introduced a new reporting requirement called Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI). If you own a business, or part of one, you are required to file under strict deadlines to avoid severe penalties, including fines of $500 per day and other enforceable actions.
KEY DEADLINES:
- Businesses formed before 01/01/24: Filing is due by 12/31/24.
- Businesses formed after 12/31/23: Filing is due within 90 days in 2024.


Filing on the BOI website is FREE and the process is straightforward. It is highly recommended that you complete your filing as soon as possible to stay compliant

Join us this October 1st through 31st for our Kitsap regional Scare Away Hunger Food Drive. We’re collecting food, non-food essentials, cooking and baking items, and condiments to help families in need.
Donations can be dropped off between 9 AM to 5 PM at any John L Scott office in Silverdale, Poulsbo, or Port Orchard.
Additionally, the marketing materials, including flyers, postcards, paper bags, and pickup schedules, make it easy to engage your community in the fight against hunger.
Distribute donation paper bags and pick them up at a scheduled date, bring bins to open houses, and spread the word with flyers and postcards to maximize participation. These tools help raise awareness and make it simple for your clients and neighbors to get involved in this impactful cause.
