Quotes from the League
Working with my committee members at the Classroom Central Warehouse has been a wonderful experience. I know I am making a tangible change to our community by “shopping” and delivering the packages curbside to area teachers. Every teacher I have had the pleasure to interact with has been so vocal about their gratitude. I have been inspired to learn ASL directly Over the past couple of months, our volunteers because of Classroom Central. I (committee members, provisionals and other delivered an order to a teacher who JLC members) have helped prepare packets said and signed her thanks! I hope for over 55 children participating in Charlotte to see her again so I can sign back Bilingual Preschool’s Reading Bridge program. The program helped families continue childrens’ literacy development during the pandemic using online learning modules. The packets we prepared are used to support these families’ ” “you’re welcome” and “thank you for teaching! - Whitney Baggs engagement activities. The school’s 2021 Annual Impact Report states that “Families participating in Reading Bridge reported significant increases in home literacy practices as well as enjoyment of reading, both for children and family members. - Jessica Mielec ”
