Greetings to all of you!

Standingtruetothemottoofourschool

‘Everychild,everyday,aleader’,JAVhasbeen constantlyfindingavenuesandwaysthrough whichwecanmakechildreninourcharge ‘BetterEveryday’.

Webelievethateverystudentshouldbeabletoadapttothe globalscenariothattheywouldbeapartof–thescenariothatisin aconstantstateofflux–thescenariowherechangeistheonly constant.Weneedtotrainthewardsinourchargetobesteadfast inaneverchangingenvironment,usingtheirskill,theircore competenceandthinkingoutoftheboxtomakesuretheirsuccessis notaprobabilitybutacertainty.

Throughvariousactivitiesandprograms,wewillfocusonbuilding betterchildrenfortheVUCAworldwhichtheywillinhabit.Thiscan bedonebymakingthemfuture-readythroughskillswhichare participative,collaborativeandinnovative.Thiscannotbedispensed onlywithinclassroomwallsthroughtextbooksandtests,butgained andassimilatedfromexperientiallearningandlivingbyembracing the‘intangibles’whichwillpreparethemtofaceandwelcomechange.

We,atJAVbelievethatinsteadofcreatingabetterworldforour children,whydon’twefocusonbuildingbetterchildrenforthe VUCAworldwhichtheywillinhabit.Thiscanbedonebymakingthem future-readythroughskillswhichareparticipative,collaborativeand innovative.

This cannot be dispensed only within classroom walls through text books and tests, but gained and assimilated from experiential learning and living (which these students are experiencing in some way as of now when they try to learn using virtual platforms), by embracing the ‘intangibles’ which will prepare them to face and welcomechange.

Commencement : The beginning of something.

TheAcademicyear2023-24commencedinAprilmonth but students and staff had their vacations from the last week of April to May end. Students were back to school on 1st June 2023 as it was reopening for the class X & PUC II Year students whereas the grade U.K.G to IX Students joined on 5th June 2023. Teachers welcomed students and introduced themselves to their respective classes. June month commenced through so many events and activities at school premises where students began their learning processwiththehelpoftheireducators.

It's very happy to proclaim that Honourable Prashant Muley Sir, The Principal, JAV & JPUC addressed all the students in the assembly and welcomed students and staff with a happy note. Sir congratulated the 2022-23batch,classXandPUCStudentswhobrought laurels to the school. Besides, encouraged students on the significance of Hard Words and Dedication towardstheirstudies.

Let’s Nurture The Nature So That We Can Have A Better Future.

On 5th June 2023, World Environment Day was celebrated for UKGwithgreatfanfare.Thepurposeoftheeventwastospread awareness about the environment. Students were dressed in green and planted a sapling to create a green environment. The facilitator explained the recycling of plastic and asked the students to take the initiative and deposit the plastic waste at the safari bank. The students shared their views during the reflectiontimeandtookthepledgetoprotecttheirmotherland.

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL MAKE FRIENDS MAKE SMILESANDMAKEMEMORIES.On5thJune2023,theschool organized a welcome day for the academic year 2023-24. The school campus was buzzed with joy. Parents were anxious and accompanied their wards to school. Students were overwhelmed by looking at balloons, colourful ribbons and creative cartoon pictures.AwarmwelcomebytheheadmistressofJAVbyribbon cutting ceremony. Students introduced themselves and enjoyed thefirstdaybyrecitingmelodiesandrhymesandwereengaged in a stamp print activity. It was a memorable moment in the student's life. At last, the sweet was distributed to the students.

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY

World Environment Day is celebrated at JAV, Shankar Hill TownToranagallu,wateringtheplantsbyPrashantMuley,the Principal accompanied by the students and the teachers to raise awareness and encourage action for the protection of ourplanetandfuturegenerations.

The theme for World Environment Day on 5th June 2023 is focusedonsolutionstoplasticpollutionunderthecampaign"BeatPlasticPollution.

ThePrincipaladdressedthegatheringandsaidthatweneed to take strong resolution and avoid carrying the plastics whenever we go to market or shops. The world is being floodedbyplastic.Morethan400milliontonnesofplasticis produced every year, half of which is designed to be used only once. Of that, less than 10 per cent is recycled. An estimated 19-23 million tonnes end up in lakes, rivers and seas.Today,plasticclogsourlandfillsleachesintotheocean and is combusted into toxic smoke, making it one of the gravestthreatstotheplanet.Notonlythatbutwhatisless known is that microplastics find their way into the food we eat, the water we drink and even the air we breathe. Many plasticproductscontainhazardousadditives,whichmaypose a danger to our health.“Plastic pollution and its detrimental impacts on health, the economy and the environment cannot be ignored. Urgent action is required. At the same time, we needtrue,effectiveandrobustsolutions.

Nursery Inauguration

Nursery Inauguration

On19th,June2023,thenurseryinaugurationtookplaceat11:00 am with the ribbon cutting ceremony. The inauguration was followedbyatouroftheschool.

The inauguration ceremony of the nursery was graced by the presence of the chief guest, dignitaries, staff, parents and students. The Principal of JAV, Mr Prashant Muley addressed the gathering with inspirational thoughts. The Headmistress, MrsBhagyavathiGajulabriefedthecurriculumandexplainedthe child's emotional, physical and intellectual domains for holistic development.

The guest and dignitaries appreciated the designed classrooms, concept-based soft boards, and creative balloons decoration of the corridor and auditorium. Parents along with their wards visited the classrooms. Smiley balls and chocolates were distributedtothestudents.Thetinytotsenjoyeddancingtothe beatofthemusic.Parentsandstudentswereoverwhelmedwith the arrangements of refreshment and gave positive feedback fortheeventwhichwascelebratedwithagrandnewwelcomeof nurserysections.

LKG: First Week Activities

LKGstudentshadtheirfirstweekpackedwithlotsofactivities. Whilescribbling,colouring,papertearing,rangolipowderdrawing and making shapes with chapati dough were aimed at developing their cognitive and fine motor skills, activities like sorting, matching and pairing developed their pre-math skills. They not only enjoyed the activities but also shared their experiences with activities that developed their vocabulary and communicationskills.

Blood Donation Camp

BloodDonationCampwasheldinourschoolon24thJune2023 incollaborationwithSwamyVivekanandaCharitableBloodBank. Wehadaninaugurationceremonyinthemorning.weinvitedMr Sunil Ralph Sir, Sr Vice President, Administration, JSW, Vijaynagar - JSW Steel as a Chief Guest to inaugurate the event. Sir, Spoke in his speech about the importance of donating blood and its advantages also. He appreciated and motivated all the Class XI and PUC II Year students as they werepartoftheprogram.besides,healsosharedhisgratitude to the Principal sir for organising such an event at school. After the inaugural ceremony, Blood Donation Camp commenced and there were parents, school staff and community members from different townships who donated theirblood.

Thinking Out of the Box

Onceuponatime,amerchantnamedSamowedahugesumof money to Tom, a money lender. The time came when the merchant ran out of the last chance given to him to give the moneyback.

Samhadabeautifuldaughterwhowasveryaffectionatewith her father. Tom asked the merchant to give all the money backfailingwhichhewillmarryhisbeautifuldaughter.

Tom was not at all good looking and ill minded and so the merchantwasindilemma.Tomproposedanewcondition.There wasamixofblackandwhitepebblesonthegroundwherethey werestanding.Hewilltaketwopebblesonbothhands,onewill bewhiteandtheotherwillbeblack.

Ifthedaughtercorrectlychoosesthewhitepebble,thenTom willwriteoffallthedebtandleavethemarriageproposaltoo. Butifshechoosestheblackpebble,hewillwriteoffthedebt butwillmarrythedaughter.

Tom bent down to pick the pebbles from the ground and the daughternoticedthathetookblackpebblesonbothhands.Thegirl had three choices- to notify the same to her father which may provokeTom,taketheblackpebbleandsacrificeherlifeorsimply refusetotakethepebblewhichmightlandherfatherintotrouble. ButwhatshedidtotallysurpriseTom.

Shetookthepebblefromhishandand‘accidentally’thepebblefell off from her hand to ground. She then asked Tom to see which color pebble was left in his hand to identify the color she picked. Tom had no other choice but to show the black color pebble in his handandsetbothofthemfree.

Moral: Sometimes, life offers you situations which not only demands hard work and perseverance but some creative thinking whichsavesthesituation.
