You brought joy back to my study of architecture. I’m beyond lucky to have had an instructor and advisor with the passion you have about systems, passive design, and environmentally conscience design. More than anything though, I’m grateful for your never-ending patience with my uncontrollable curiosity and I’m thankful for all the grace you’ve allowed me every time I have to extract myself from some information rabbit hole I’ve tumbled into. And I’m especially grateful that you nurtured a grad studio space where we could be fearless and come together to support one another reaching for the stars.

While I didn’t receive your help on this thesis project, I know that my academic career in architecture starts with you both at Pierce.

Transition to 3rd year placement in university was seamless, and in the midst of a pandemic no less. I was in a position to graduate cum laude for my bachelors degree in two years, and finish my M.Arch degree in a single year. My drive brought me to the end, but I don’t doubt that my foundation established under you both is what set me up for success.
