Dedicated to exploring how different ecoregions, such as the East Cascades, Okanogan, and Columbia Plateau, interrelate and contribute to theecologicaldiversityandbeautyoftheLakeChelan area. By promoting a systems-thinking approach and demonstrating how we can integrate these principles into our daily lives, we encourage visitors to actively support local ecology.

Visitors are immersed in the wonders of Lake Chelan in the aptly named . With expansive views of the lake and its rugged north shore, this airy and flexibleexhibitionareahighlightseverythingrelatedto the lake, from its physical phenomena to the delicate is the largest of the learning spaces, designed to provide comfortable space for guest speakers, community events, or more extensive group activities. Big Learn is located at the north end of the building on the east wing and, like Lake Space, takes advantage of the impressive views across Lake Chelan with large bright windows.

The is an informal outdoor instructional space that allows any of the Center’s learning experiences or events to take advantage of the comfortable climate during warmer months. A large, covered area and comfortable seating are available for reserved classes or events; when not used for that purpose, the area and seating are meant for all Lakeside Ecology Center visitors.
