Hi, my name is Emma and I’ve worked in the travel industry for 14 years now. Previously I have always worked in high street stores but am now venturing into a different area of the business with Jetline. I used to work for Thompsons as a Sales Manager and would visit the different shops and concentrate on turning the underperforming ones around. I am very much a people person and have always enjoyed working with the public – even when I am getting moaned at, which obviously wasn’t very often as I was so good at my job!

I am lucky enough to be allowed to work from my office at home using my apple mac and design software to produce the magazine you see before you as well as leaflets, stationery and adverts. I am really looking forward to the change that working for Jetline has offered me and the opportunity to work in a specific area of the travel business. Cruising is a massively popular sector of the travel industry and I particularly like how it offers something for all age groups and all types of people. I personally enjoy cruising as it allows you to wake up somewhere different every day and you are extremely well looked after on board the ship. Here at Jetline I will be working as the new call centre manager. So far I have found everyone in the company to be very well coming and supportive. I am extremely excited about heading up this new division of the sales team and am looking forward to working alongside a diverse and talented team that will be only too happy to find that perfect cruise for you. I have been a designer for 11 years and have worked for a newspaper, various holiday companies and for a gardening magazine once too. I have known Ian Gilder - Managing Director for Jetline Cruise, and Martin Tanner (Product and Marketing Manager) and Paul Brown (web designer) for several years as I have worked with them before at a different company. They are all a pleasure to work with as they are so friendly and down to earth. So far Ian is the best boss I have had as no-one else has ever let me work from home in my pyjamas before! I really enjoy designing Cruise Ahoy as its great to see lots of photos of exotic destinations and amazing facilities that cruise ships have onboard. I have not yet been on a cruise but would one day love to as there is so much that would keep me entertained such as surf machines, rock climbing, shops, cinema and tasty food! Thanks for reading!
