Payments
When payment is made by cheque or British Postal Order, it should be made payable to Jersey Post Ltd. and crossed A/C PAYEE. Payments for orders or into Philatelic accounts from customers living outside the United Kingdom should be made by credit card (Mastercard/Visa) whenever possible. Jersey Post does not store credit or debit card details and destroys them immediately after payment is taken. Alternatively, sterling cheques drawn on a British bank account (minimum cheque value £5) are also accepted. US Dollar cheques, Euro cheques and International Giro payments are no longer accepted. The Euro and US Dollar are the only acceptable foreign currency in notes only. Customers should ensure that currency notes are sent by registered or insured post. We do not accept liability for currency notes sent by ordinary mail. Post and packing
No charges are raised for orders despatched in accordance with Standing Order instructions. Please do contact us if you would like to open a Standing Order account. A single charge of £1.85 for CI orders, £2 for UK orders (inc. of VAT) £3.00 for Europe or £4.00 for all other destinations is raised per order per address regardless of the number of items, unless the order contains an album or binder where the charge raised is £3.00 for CI orders, £3.60 for UK orders (inc. of VAT) and £7 for Europe and all other destinations. Orders will be despatched by surface mail unless otherwise specified. All orders over £150 will be sent by appropriate registered mail at no extra charge.

Important information regarding the collection of VAT. Items despatched to destinations outside Jersey may be subject to customs or import duties payable in the country of destination over which we have no control. Jersey Post collects VAT in advance on orders from UK and EU customers, where appropriate. This advance payment will minimise delays and avoid additional collection fees.

The Jersey Philatelic Bureau will supply any number of Jersey philatelic items subject to stock being available. However, we do not guarantee particular cylinders, plates, positions, cylinder blocks or specific limited edition numbers. We are not able to supply philatelic items on a sale or return items.

To our customers in the European Union, we are pleased to confirm that we now have a registered IOSS number which will enable you to prepay the VAT on your orders, to facilitate their passage through customs. Please note that the maximum for any one order (inc. Postage) for IOSS is 150 EUROS. All orders from EU customers are now subject to the individual country’s rate of VAT. If you know your country’s VAT rate, please complete the VAT box in the order form. If not, please leave it blank and we will complete this for you using the latest available information. Mint – Your stamps will be supplied in pristine condition. CTO (Cancelled to order) – Your stamps will be supplied cancelled with our date of issue date stamp.
