Welcome back to another edition of our stamp bulletin. The new design will offer a clearer and more in-depth look into each issue and the products available.
A reply form has been included for you to inform us if you would like to continue receiving the bulletins and additional marketing information.
The first summer issue is Fruits of Jersey, which includes fruits grown on the Island. In this issue, Rosemary Blackmore used her expert skills with a brush to bring each fruit to life.
Debussy in Jersey commemorates the late composer, Claude Debussy, who visited Jersey in 1904 to focus on his music pieces such as La Mer, L’isle Joyeuse, and Masques. Artist Will Bertram illustrated the products and references Debussy’s music throughout the issue.
Jersey is the proud home to a variety of bird species, including those featured within Jersey’s Wetland Birds stamp issue.
We selected the commonly found birds on the Island’s wetland area for local artist Thomas Norman (elvensø illustration) to illustrate.
Our final summer issue Jersey Women of Achievement celebrates women who have greatly impacted others through their achievements. Local artist Kiera Melville illustrated the stamp issue including the miniature sheet featuring Dr Lilian Mary Grandin.
Thank you for your continued support and make sure to get in touch to let us know if you like this new bulletin.

Born in Paris in 1862, Claude Debussy is regarded as being one of the most influential composers of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. At the age of ten, he joined the Conservatoire De Paris, a college of music and dance founded in 1795, where he developed his musical talents. In 1904 Debussy spent the summer on the Island, allowing him to have quiet time to work on his orchestral pieces. Local artist Will Bertram has illustrated the issue by incorporating elements of Debussy’s sheet music into the background of each stamp. The Portelet Bay stamp features L’isle Joyeuse and the pair of 98p stamps, La Corbiére and St Brelade’s Bay, feature La Mer. The Portelet Bay stamp includes Estampes (Pagodes), Havre des Pas contains L’isle Joyeus and the Grand Hotel stamp, Claire de Lune.

From their findings, we were able to select wetland bird breeds for the artist to illustrate, including the Northern Shoveler, Western Marsh Harrier, Tufted Duck, Northern Lapwing, Common Snipe and Reed Bunting.
