Reflections of Life Milton (Bae) Burns, Sr.

was born February 27, 1930, to the late Wesley Sr. and Maybelle Tucker Burns in Bolton, MS. Milton confessed Christ at an early age in Bolton, MS, under the leadership of Rev. Curtis West at Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In later years he joined Greater Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church in Memphis TN. Upon completion of Mt. Zion Public School in Bolton, MS., Milton entered the auto mechanic industry, which was his God-given gift, (without any formal training) that became his lifetime career. In 1949 Milton moved to Memphis, TN, to further his career. Milton married Nite Lee Hill Burns on December 27, 1952, and to this union, three sons were born. He was preceded in death by his youngest son, Dwight Burns, and his oldest brother, Wesley Burns, Jr. Remaining to cherish his memory: his wife, Nite Lee Burns of 67 years, sons, Milton Jr. and Avis (Dorothy) Burns, daughter-in-law, Taura GillilandBurns, eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, sister, Gladys B. Johnson, brother, Floyd Burns, special cousins, Ernest West and Ruby West White and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.�
