The past year has been both challenging and rewarding for our organization. While we faced obstacles, we remain dedicated to implementing best practices in Sport for Development (S4D) throughout our youth programs and events in Cameroon.
Focus on Sport for Development:
Jaf Hoop School Akono Program: While we've had to temporarily pause this program due to school council changes, we are actively seeking program approval for the next academic year. This program exemplifies S4D by:
Promoting physical and mental well-being through basketball activities. Enhancing social inclusion and teamwork through collaborative play and design classes. Developing life skills like discipline, goal setting, and communication through participation.
Jaf Hoop Tour Expansion: We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our Jaf Hoop Tour to three new locations – Yaounde, Ebolowa, and Douala. This tour embodies the spirit of S4D by:
Raising awareness about the benefits of incorporating S4D principles into basketball programs.
Providing resources and training to coaches and educators on implementing S4D practices. Creating opportunities for skill development and social engagement for young people enagaging in social thematicslike health, peace and poetry.
Looking Forward:
We are energized and determined to continue our advocacy for S4D in both schools and sports academies across Cameroon. By combining our successful events with impactful school programs, we firmly believe that meaningful learning and play can revolutionize skill acquisition and build healthy, positive social environments for young people.
We are grateful for your continued support!
Sincerely,

OUR VISION
We believe that sports participation can complement and enhance academic performance We offer young people the chance to improve their grades while developing valuable life skills through our programs
JEANNE D’ARC FOUNDATION
We are committed to breaking down barriers and creating a more equitable sporting environment. Our programs are open to everyone, regardless of their origin, gender, race, or athletic abilities. We believe that sports can foster cooperation, empathy, and personal growth, empowering young people to become leaders in their communities.
TROUGH SPORT!
The Grass Roots Need
Despite the challenges of implementing afterschool sports and education programs in Africa, such as limited resources and infrastructure constraints, these initiatives offer significant benefits for young people. Sports for development programs have proven to be effective in addressing these challenges by providing safe spaces for children to learn, grow, and develop essential life skills. By leveraging the power of sports, these programs can play a crucial role in promoting education, health, and social cohesion in African communities. To further support these efforts, we have decided to launch the JAF Hoop Tour with the aim of promoting and raising awareness about the positive impact of sports development practices and implementation on the growth of young people in Cameroon.
+300
KIDS
Even though we were unable to run our JAF Hoop School program this year, we were still able to directly engage over 300 children from diverse backgrounds in our events and sports activities. This demonstrates our commitment to reaching a wide range of participants and providing opportunities for all, regardless of their race, gender, or athletic abilities
4 S4D EVENTS
The JAF Hoop Tour features four sport-based education programs focused on health, peace, poetry, and selfprevention. These programs will be integrated with sporting activities and tournaments to attract young people and engage them in meaningful discussions on these vital themes. By combining sports with education, we aim to empower young people, foster a sense of community, and promote positive social change

MORAL REPORT
Despite facing initial setbacks due to changes in school leadership and communication challenges, we successfully expanded our JAF Hoop School Tour program to include Ebolowa and Douala.
A key highlight of this year was the addition of Ornella Moedje as our Project Manager for Cameroon. Her expertise has significantly improved our event management, ensuring that we stay within budget and achieve our goals.
THE START THE PROCESS
While two of our JAF Hoop Tour events exceeded their budgets, we have made strides in improving our financial management. Overall, our financial control and traceability have significantly improved compared to the previous year.
Although our direct impact on a large number of individuals may not be as extensive as last year, we remain committed to positively influencing the lives of young people. Our focus is on empowering them through sports, not only for recreation but also for developing essential social skills and fostering critical thinking.
THE CHALLENGE
While we have reduced our involvement in infrastructure development, we are dedicated to implementing a new form of sport that can empower young players. This new approach will focus on [specific details of the new form of sport].
By prioritizing these areas, we aim to continue building a safe and healthy environment for young basketball players in Cameroon. Our goal for next season is to expand the JAF Hoop Tour to new cities and revitalize our JAF Hoop School program in Akono or establish a new one in a school that partnered with us during the tour.
