ABOUT JCI Story About JCI Bandar Klang The Junior Chamber International movement was officially started in 1915 by Henry Giessenbier Jr. in Missouri, USA. The JC movement aims to study civic and business problems. The movement took up momentum to spread around the world and by 1954, it was introduced to Malaysia. JCI Bandar Klang was founded in 2016 by Charter President, Timothy Chu.Â

MESSAGE

BOARD PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Time passes so fast that it is now the 3rd month of my presidential journey. There is a saying, one year in JCI as local president is equivalent to 3 years out there. Being a youth club with 1-year to lead policy, the pace is indeed fast as we have so much to be accomplished within a year!

And I’m fortunate to have a group of dedicated and enthusiastic Board of Directors and members who have been serving the organisation and the local community whole-heartedly. Within just 3 months time, we have done a total of 16 projects, not to mention about the countless meetings and discussions which have been conducted along the way.

2019 is going to be the most exciting year since it’s establishment, as we have been mandated by the JCI Malaysia to host a national project – JCI Creative Young Entrepreneur Award. More than 60% of our total members have been mobilised to participate in project management, and it is the true manifestation of my presidential theme “Together We Lead” I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone of you who have walked together in this 3 months journey. And I wish that all of us will continue to uphold the JCI values not just in the organisation but also in our life.

Being a part of JCI Bandar Klang member has MOTIVATED me to challenge myself to complete this task and without TEAMWORK, this wouldn't have been possible.

At the same time we have invited a speaker Mdm Lim Soo Kiam from SMJK Chung Hwa to share out some real bully case. To give out awareness to public about care everyone include you and me.

GIVE OUT 100 VOUCHER 100 vouchers have been given out to school students for them to welcome a happy school opening with the financial support to purchase school items

BUDDY NOT BULLY Project This anti-bullying project was started in 2017 to promote a nonviolent learning environment.

In 2018, this project has impacted 10,000 students via a series of BNB roadshow, in conjunction of BNB Short Video Contest, and its Award Ceremony held at Paradigm Mall on 18th November.

SPEAKER TEAM Through this project, we empower young people to involve in the roadshow as speaker. Hence, train-the-trainer session has been organized to groom them.

It was a success for the project upon being recognized as 2018 Best Local Peace Project. And we look forward this project to be recognized once again at ASPAC. In 2019, BNB will continue to implement quality education to eradicate bullying culture, and the committee targets to impact more than 10,000 students.

This year Buddy Not Bully project by JCI BANDAR KLANG collaborate with ICDC JCI PETALING JAYA. This year we will do a roadshow at Primary & Secondary School.

INDONESIA IAB JCI MEDAN, By attending IABs and other events, we can foster greater networking connections and strengthen our brotherhood.

JCI Bandar Klang has connected with JCI Medan since 2017 and we hope to create more global networks in the future." IAB It was an honour to experience the culture, hospitality and delicacies of North Sumatera by our generous Friendship pack brothers of JCI Medan. During this visit, we managed to set up meeting to connect our members for business opportunities.

A Public speaking is a core competency for leadership, debating is training towards thinking from multiple perspectives.

Glad to see we have 10 members traveled early in Saturday morning from Klang to Seremban to learn about Oregon Debate.

Oregon Debate Training has been successfully co-hosted by JCI Bandar Klang with another 6 local organisations.

The introduction of 2019 JCIM National Board of Directors and appointees was carried out and several new initiatives and program were also introduced. Attendees were able to ring in the New Year together as the event took place on the last day of 2018.

ESPORTS PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRY CONFERENCE (EPIC) E.P.I.C 2019 Perak state government had invested time and resources to organise EPIC 2019 to ensure Perak is the prime mover in export where it was held for the first time.

EPIC 2019 is a gathering of industry players, government agencies, institutions and esports athletes in one platform to gauge the development of esports which could generate economic growth for Perak in future.
