Warmest greetings to all of you.

The Installation and Award Ceremony is a time-honoured tradition in JCI. It signifies the transfer of leadership from the preceding to the succeeding board of directors. This transition also carries with it the renewal of the local organisation’s leaders and office-bearers. It ensures JCI’s “One Year to Lead” practice is continued to provide opportunities for leaders to develop.

It is on this note I wish to congratulate the outgoing Local President, Ng Jin Chern and his board of directors for successfully leading JCI Bandar Klang in 2022. The responsibility befalls on all of you now to guide and assist your respective successors to ensure the local organisation reaches another milestone.

Just like the local organisation, JCI Malaysia also renews its leadership every year. The 2023 JCI Malaysia’s theme is “Leading in Action”. The theme implores for proactive leadership from leaders in the local organisations. As a premier organisation of young leaders, we must lead and be seen to be leading. Leadership has to be put into action in everything that we do, be it in organising relevant projects or conducting board meetings.

In line with the theme, JCI Malaysia will focus on three core areas; Alignment – where the direction of local organisations are aligned with the national Plan of Action, Continuity – where current best practices are continued to ensure seamless transitions year to year, and Technology – where digitalisation will be at the forefront of JCI Malaysia’s strive for efficiency and progress. Through these areas of focus, JCI Malaysia can better fulfil its mission and vision to be a truly resilient, progressive and purposeful organisation.

I would also like to express my delight on the successful Installation & Award Ceremony, organised by Organising Chairman CK Kong and his team. To the incoming President Andrew Goh and his board of directors, I wish you all the very best in undertaking the responsibility to lead your local organisation in 2023. I look forward to the success and achievements of JCI Bandar Klang in 2023.

JCI Bandar Klang SPC had found for 5 years. The main purpose of the founding of SPC, is to provide backup support for the present president, especially help to guide and advise JCI Bandar Klang to have a more broad and clear direction. With this practice, we hope SPC and the present president can successfully encourage more young citizens towards young entrepreneur leadership.

Warmest Greeting to Everyone and Welcome to our JCI Bandar Klang 7th Installation & Banquet Awards Banquet.

I would like to extend my heartiest congratulations on the success of JCI Bandar Klang 7th Installation Award Banquet! A great round of applause to the committee that spend endless night to prepare the event and well-organized. We hope everyone enjoy our Installations Award Banquet and make it a memorable one.

Today will be a important day to celebrate our success for the 2022 Board of Director past effort of contribution and ceremony of projects the baton to the new BODs of JCI Bandar Klang 2023. First I would like to give my appreciation to my Board of Director for 2022 for achieving success winning Top 5 LO award, E-award, 100% Efficiency, Active LO award and Active New Member – Jazz Khor. Despite the uncertainty of Covid19 still challenging some of our events, we still bag some new award and a total of 7 award for JCI Bandar Klang Shelf. We even affiliate a New Chapter JCI Bandar Kajang under our family tree and we had help each other along the journey in 2022.

Our Theme ‘we build leaders’ has inspire many members take up Leadership roles in different aspect. A total of 25 project and 54 sub project has created giving opportunity a 29 new members to experience the impact of JCI project.

We have created new flagship project such as the Hatch 1.0: Entrepreneur and manage to win E-award for Best Local Business & Entrepreneurship Program.

We will not achieve with all the help from all member and thank you for all JCI Bandar Klang Members for your contribution to make JCI Bandar Klang active and impactful. I believe everyone learn from participating in Project organizing and most important enjoy along the way thru your tireless effort.

Not to missed on our important partner which is our sponsor that assist us thru time and financially for our chapter to growth and sustain. You are the reason we are able to carry out so many project that benefit the society. Appreciate your support for year 2022.

Finally thank you for all the Past President, mentor, and partners for giving me advice and support me in my president year. I will continue give support and advice as an Immediate Past President to Board of Director 2023. It is an honored to obtain the mandate from JCI Bandar Klang to be the 2023 JCI Bandar Klang President. I would like to take this opportunity to thank JCI Bandar Klang members as well as my BODs for your trust and countless support along the way.

JCI Bandar Klang has been affiliated since 2016 and we have successfully held more than 100 impactful events over the 7 years and also we have nearly 100 members in our local organization. It is definitely a great achievement from all the past presidents who committed to achieving tremendous results over the years. As a president of JCI Bandar Klang 2023 will take full responsibility to lead and impact my BODs as well as members to continue bringing JCI Bandar Klang to a greater height.

This year we will focus on two flagship projects, that is “Buddy Not Bully” and “The Hatch” program.

Bullying is something that no one should ever have to experience. Therefore, we would like to focus our community programs called, “Buddy not Bully” to bring awareness to primary, secondary schools and colleges to stop bullying. This year we will collaborate with Majlis Belia Selangor Daerah Klang and government parties to spread positive vibes, say NO to bully.

Besides, another flagship program, “The Hatch” is to help new entrepreneurs or existing entrepreneurs to enhance and refine their businesses.

This program will have at least 7 great entrepreneurs to share on their road to success through online live talk and will have 8 physical training from different fields of entrepreneurs to enhance your business. The participants will definitely gain a lot of knowledge by joining this program.

I believe with the effort and commitment from JCI Bandar Klang, we will be able to achieve a greater height with the support from all the members and BOD.

Lastly, not forget to FIGHT as it will be my presidential theme for 2023.

It is my pleasure to pen down a few words in conjunction with JCI Bandar Klang 7th Installation and Awards Banquet.

First of all, Congratulations to JCI Bandar Klang and President Andrew Goh! On behalf of JCI Kuala Lumpur, we wish you all the best and success in the year 2023.

Since JCI Bandar Klang was established, we have witnessed your tremendous growth. As the mother chapter of JCI Bandar Klang, we are proud to see your achievement thus far.

Although Kuala Lumpur and Klang are close to each other in terms of locality, we did not manage to meet

the Movement Control Order. Following the relaxation of the rules, we look forward to building a stronger bonding with you and collaborating on various projects. Let’s S.O.A.R. together to achieve greater heights for our chapters!

We hope to have more collaboration with you to have greater impact to the community.

I met President Andrew when I had my first collaborative event with IPP JC Ng in 2021. Both of them are such funny guys. A chapter full joy and laughter as much as I can recall.

2022 JCI Bandar Klang has done more than 30 impactful projects since early of the year, now we are towards the end, is time for us to proof that we have done impactful and sustainable project. Organizing this E-Awards Workshop is special design for JCI Bandar Klang member who are actively involved in project this year. Winning awards is not the main aims, but for continuous learning and create sustainable solutions are very important for everyone, e-award is to review our project whether we have done a great job or not, thus every member should learn how to write e-award. As we have learned the JCI Action Framework, by creating a sustainable project we need to consistent analyze, develop, execute and review. This workshop participants have total of 12 new member within 2 years, which they are the project main organizer chairperson for year 2022, appreciate Senator Jee Soo Lip able to make his move to travel to Kuala Lumpur for this special design workshop for us.

Thank you for having the opportunity to be the organising chairperson this time. This is my first time challenge an OC roles

Thanks VP Winson looking for me, let me got a chances to elevate my leadership. Thanks to my team, they are CY Chek , Steph Lee and Jason Lee, you all are really good helper, especially is Jason.

Empowering a member to take an opportunity to make changes also is our mission and vision. In this GMM, I know that Jason as a new member and also the first time he became an emcee. I am so proud to have you. This time GMM pasang hao was successfully completed with 65% new member joined! I love you all so much for join us and support me. Because when VP Winson looking for me for this event, we already set our main purpose is to let the new members know more JCI BANDAR KLANG.

After this GMM, we have 4 members make a decision to join our next BOD, 3 members take OC roles for next 3 events and 1 new member said want to join ACSC with Debate Team. How a wonderful JCI journey for me, be young and active citizens together.

Finally, I would like to thank JCI Bandar Klang, It was a good experience to be the organizing chairperson and also learned how to organize a project.

EBC Corporate Visit + Business Networking

Supposed to be just another work day, but the 28 of us seized the opportunity to explore and learn about the key to successful business from a humble businessman and had ourselves fueled with tremendous inspiration and new heights.

On August 19, 2022, JCI Bandar Klang co-hosted with Kelab Belia Kajang Prima to conduct a 5-hours corporate visit at one of the largest Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) companies in Malaysia and Southeast Asia, Proguard Technologies. This initiative gathered 28 participants to connect with one another and with some of the key stakeholders from the company.

The corporate visit was led by the founder, Dato’ Lee Ngai Mun and his team. It started off with touring around the company’s (Proguard Technology) production floor, then the warehouse, management office, R&D room and lastly, the entertainment floor. All 28 participants witnessed all the stages of producing various safety products - from how its prototypes are first being tested to manufacturing them from raw materials, assembling parts, quality controlling, packing and warehousing. Along the tour, the participants actively asked questions for more learning. The founder shared a lot of his insights and recommendations on business; the lessons he learnt throughout his founding experience, his business model, mindset, management style, his hardships and how he overcame them. Ending the tour with a casual business networking session, the founder also presented a deck of the company’s management structure, business overviews, meaningful CSR projects and more.

The EBC Corporate Visit to Proguard Technologies, an initiative by JCI Bandar Klang was a valuable experience to all. The visit not only helps the participants (including JCI members) to learn, but to expose themselves into understanding the key to building success. The initiative plays an important role in making learning and spreading good values a lifelong mission.

This project aims to achieve the following benefits. Promote UNSDG #3- Good health and well-being to our members. Cultivate deeper relationships between our members.

Encourage participation from non-members to join the activity. The project has achieved these impacts due to the following: Promote good health and well-being of our members

Venue: Physical

~ The participants moved more than 400 km during the event period. This translates to an average of 16.7km of distance moved per participant.

~ The increase of distance moved will cultivate healthy habits amongst our members, in addition, to promoting better health and well-being.

~ Furthermore, the participants experienced and joined the Tabata sessions which added to the novelty and fun of exercising.

~ The non-members have taken the initiative to organize several Tabata sessions to encourage the participation of all members.

~ Some of the members had joined the sessions which deepened the relationship between the members and also with the non-members.

~ Apart from exercise, the conversations and banter during the sessions will have deepened the relationship between the participants.

~ As this project is open to JCI members and non-members, there is a total of 5 non-members who joined the event and they make up the team that won the first prize.

~ Furthermore, 5 JCI members from other clubs joined the project too. It directly deepened the relationship between the local organization clubs.
