Wise Aging Workshop

How can we grow older with strength, resilience and meaning? In this two part workshop, practical suggestions for achieving a fulfilling older age will be explored using the book, Wise Aging: Living With Joy, Resilience and Spirit by Rabbi Cowenand Dr. Thal. Facilitated by Natalie Pitheckoff and Debra Kagan Birkeland, JFS Older Adult Social Workers.

Exploring the Diaries of Anne Frank

The Diary of Anne Frank is the most widely read diary in the world. How could this precious personal historical account of hiding in Nazi occupied Amsterdam create controversy? Presented by Carol H King, Adjunct History Professor at RCC and RJFS Social Worker. Also offered, Travel with the J to Anne Frank The Exhibition on April 9, 2025.

Between Two Worlds: Jewish War Brides After the Holocaust with Author, Robin Judd

This vibrant history won two National Jewish Book Awards. Robin Judd is an associate professor of history at The Ohio State University and serves on the State of Ohio’s Commission for Holocaust and Genocide Education and Memorialization. The author will be virtual, but we will gather live and enjoy bagels and coffee together. Book sales available.

Hungarian Folk Dancing and The Politzer Saga

Commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day with a vibrant performance by the Csűrdöngölő Folk Ensemble bringing the traditions of Hungarian culture to ife while guest speaker Linda Ambrus Broenniman, author of The Politzer Saga shares her family’s epic story of hidden Hungarian Jewish ancestry and her journey to uncover the truth.
