The Chamber of Commerce, serving Johnson City, Jonesborough and Washington County, is a 501-C6 organized to promote business, enhance economic and community development, and serve as a catalyst for improving the overall quality of life in the community and region. It is also supported by the Chamber Foundation, a 501-C3 dedicated to promoting education, leadership and business development programs. We track over 1300 pieces of legislation in the Tennessee General Assembly each session. We support pro-business bills and oppose ones that can harm our businesses or local economy.

Through phone calls, virtual meetings and in-person discussions, the Chamber stays in regular contact with local, state and federal lawmakers, sharing members’ concerns and ideas. We give members a voice in their community.

Each year, The Chamber hosts the State of the City/County/Town and a Legislative Breakfast, allowing members to hear from legislators about what is being worked on locally and in Nashville.

A cohort-based program that equips entrepreneurs of all kinds with the insights, relationships and tools needed to turn business ideas into action Participants enter into a facilitator-led, collaborative process with a small and supportive group of peers who work together to develop and fine-tune their ideas, leading up to a pitch competition with a grand prize of seed money
The Chamber partners with local marketing and Artificial Intelligence expert, Cloud Wise Academy, to host monthly workshops for business owners Participants learn about leverage readily-available AI tools and technology resources to boost their marketing strategy and grow their business’s website and online presence
Business leaders join for a planned experience that exposes them to the overall needs of the community and region through site visits, meetings with government officials and behind-the-scenes tours of businesses
We host regular Lunch & Learns, providing members an opportunity to learn about what’s going on in our community, all over a complementary lunch! Past topics have included Johnson City’s Growth Management Plan, Black History in Business, Women’s History Month in Johnson City and personality tests/tools
We love supporting new businesses in our area, and in doing so, we would love to hold a ribbon cutting for your business! Chamber members and non-members receive a ribbon cutting for a small fee
The goal of Young Professionals of Johnson City is to provide our young business leaders (ages 21-40) opportunities for networking, leadership, personal growth, exclusive experiences and community service

Financial Institutions: $600 + $30 per employee
Educational Institutions: $630
Government Entities: $630
There is a non-refundable $25 application fee for all new members.
