HIST OUR

Reynolds Pier, situated in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, is the property of Jamaica Bauxite Mining Limited, a government-owned entity in Jamaica.

The pier was originally constructed around 1961 primarily for the export of bauxite by Reynolds Jamaica. Following the cessation of operations by Reynolds Jamaica Mines Limited in Jamaica, the government assumed control of their assets, including the Pier. Subsequently, the port underwent expansion to accommodate various purposes, including the export of limestone, sugar, and the docking of cruise ships, among others.

Reynolds Pier currently boasts two oil storage tanks with a combined capacity of approximately 60,000 barrels, a storage facility capable of holding over 70,000 metric tonnes, and a deep-water pier with a draft of 12.5 meters.

Operating in compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, Reynolds Pier adheres to rigorous security measures in accordance with international shipping maritime regulations. These measures ensure the safety and security of ships, ports, cargo, and crew, maintaining a commitment to operational excellence and international standards.
