Upper Control Arm Removal 1. Prior to installation, verify your part number ordered with the part number received, Driver Side and Passenger Side stamped in the arm by the ball joint. 2. Jack up vehicle and place a jack stand under the frame rail behind the front wheel. Remove wheel. *Never work under an unsupported vehicle. 3. Remove tire. 4. Remove the nut from the ball joint stud. 5. Separate the ball joint from the steering knuckle, to relieve pressure strike steering knuckle. 6. Remove the nut on each bushing. 7. Pull out bolts and remove upper control arm. Driver Side Only: Remove plastic fastener located on the splash guard. Behind the bracket, loosen the bolt that secures the upper steering shaft and universal joint. Use a pen to mark the steering shaft and universal joint so they line back up when reassembled. Once the bolt is removed, push steering shaft towards firewall, giving you room for step 7. Removal Video:
