October Newsletter It’s officially Fall‌. Sad but unfortunately true. With that being said, PLEASE make sure you are sending weather appropriate clothing. If it’s cold, send a sweater, rainy, send a jacket, splash pants and boots, and when it snows, please send winter gear!! We are going to start calling you to bring proper gear if it is not here as we do not have enough spare outdoor clothing. Thanks for your help!! We are also asking that you LABEL EVERYTHING!! We have a had a LOT of clothing go missing lately, normally due to not being labelled. We do our best to keep track of clothing, however we have a lot of children, and lots of similar clothing. Simply writing with a permanent marker works, however Mabel’s Labels are also great. You can order them online or buy them at Staples.
We are asking that all of you review the handbook if necessary. We are finding that people are signing the back page, but not making themselves familiar with the policies. Please let me know if you would like a new copy emailed to you to review! On Tuesday, October 31st we will be having a Halloween Party, and the children are allowed to wear their costumes. Please try to send easy on/off costumes for bathrooming. We are also asking that no weapons are brought to daycare. We will also be having a potluck for the 3-5 program, so watch for a sign-up sheet coming soon. For those of you that haven’t asked yet, we have decided on our Christmas closure dates. Our last day of daycare will be Wednesday, December 20th. We will re-open on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Reminders: • • •
Early closure is Tuesday, October 31st. Pick up by 4pm sharp! Late fees will apply. We are closed on Monday, October 9th for Thanksgiving!! Don’t forget about Scholastic book orders; there are new flyers every month!!
