March Newsletter Well, March sure came in like a Lion; we are hoping it goes out like a lamb! With that said please remember to bring both warm and waterproof outdoor clothes, depending on the weather that day!! Parents, we are asking for your help again at drop-offs and pick-ups. In order to keep rules consistent, PLEASE remember that your children are NOT allowed to roam the centre freely, nor can they open/take out toys to play with. During the day they are always supervised, and are only allowed to play with toys that the teachers have set out. By following these rules, it helps with consistent care and guidelines, as well as keeping children safe and the centre clean and organized. We really appreciate your help in this matter! The centre is going to be making a few staff changes this month. Sadly, March 17 th, St. Patrick’s day, will be Alesja’s last day at the centre. She has decided to travel abroad for an indefinite time. We wish her safe and happy travels, and hope that she will come back to us some day. This means that Alesja’s Academy will need a new teacher, who will be Sandy! These children will be in Sandy’s Squad as of March 20th. We know she will do great in this role. We will then be hiring one of our current practicum students, Lauren Goss, to work in the I/T program with Shelley. Please take a moment to find Lauren and make her feel welcome :) With the weather hopefully getting warmer soon we are going to try to get out earlier, and hopefully do some more field trips. With this said, we will be enforcing the “call by 9:30 rule”. Please note that this means if you do not call by this time to tell us your child will be late, they may not be able to attend that day. We are still looking for donations to work on our fine motor and sensory experiences in the I/T program. We are looking for items such as magnets, baking sheets, clasps, latches, snaps, velcro pieces, locks, calculators etc… Please ask the staff to see example pictures if you are interested.
Reminders:
Early closure is Tuesday, March 28th. Pick up by 4pm sharp! Late fees will apply.
