Welcome

Airlines News in Brief...

A warm welcome to our latest Newsletter - with all the votes counted and a new Government formed, we now have clarity in terms of the immediate political landscape. Going forward we are positive about doing more business with our Customers, some of whom have been holding back on investment decisions and associated travel activity, due to the uncertainty caused by the Election. In keeping with the Parliamentary theme, anyone looking for a unique and historic venue for their Meeting, Incentive, Conference or Event (MICE) might be interested to know that we can now source and hire rooms in the Palace of Westminster no less. The room options are stunning, as is the view from the Terrace Pavilion! What a difference a year makes, with oil prices roughly 50% lower than a year ago we would certainly like to see the airlines do more to reduce their fuel surcharges generally. This will translate into lower total journey costs for our Customers, which we feel is justified, particularly as some airlines are not hedged against fuel costs, whilst others have fuel hedges that are washing out. We will continue to lobby the airlines on your behalf. Our Focal Point section covers some of the excellent technology solutions and options available to our Customers. Please take a moment to browse through and speak with you Account Director if there are any areas you would like to discuss further. There is also an iPad to be won! Shirley Joseph is also rightly featured in our Connect With section. As a Senior Business Travel Consultant I can personally recommend both her excellent set of business travel skills, along with her jerk chicken which is to die for. As always, thank you for your continued support, onwards and upwards. Richard Turpin – Sales Director
