FROM MODERN TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES IN GLASS MAKING BIGGER PIECES OF GLASS CAN BE MADE. IN ADDITION THE PRISMS THAT ARE INTERLACED WITH THE GLASS PANEL HAVE BECOME LARGER MORE ANGLED AND THICKER TO HELP DIFUSE THE LIGHT INTO SEPERATE SPECTRUMS. THE WATER THEN WOULD REFLECT SPECTURM LIGHTS WITHIN THE WALL TRAPPING THE LIGHT INTERNALLY IN THE WALL. FROM THIS INTERNAL LIGHT THAT IS TRAPPED WILL CREATE INDIRECT LIGHT THAT WILL BE THEN FILTERED TO EXTERIOR AND INTERIOR OF THE BUILDING CAUSING THE WALL TO RADIATE LIGHT. ALSO DUE TO THE SPLITTING OF THE WHITE LIGHT INTO THE SEPERATE SPECTRUMS ALLOWS COLOUR LIGHT TO BECOME MORE INTENSE AND VISIBLE TO VIEWERS, CREATING RAINBOW EFFECT.

LARGER GLASS PANELS ALSO INCREASE THE SURFACE AREA OF THE WIND LOAD ACTING ON THE BUILDING. BECAUSE OF THIS FORCE, THE ALUMINUM FRAME THAT HOUSES THE UNIT CAN HAVE A INCREASED DEPTH IN BOTH THE VERTICAL AND HORIZONTAL MULLIONS TO PREVENT DEFLECTION. THE DEEP POCKETS ALLOW THE GLASS TO BE ISOLATED FROM THE ALUMINIUM FRAME BUT STILL GIVING IT MORE SUPPORT AND PREVENTING THE FRAME FROM GOING INTO A PARALLELOGRAM.

ANOTHER OPTION THAT CAN BE USED TO KEEP THE BUILDING HEATED DURING THE WINTER SOLSTICE PERIOD IS BY RUNNING HOT WATER THROUGH THE PANELS THAT WILL BE MAINTED THROUGH A WATER HEATER. CONVECTION LOOP BETWEEN THE TWO GLASS PANELS HELPS TO REGULATE THE TEMPERATURE OF THE BUILDINGS INTERIOR. AS ONE OF THE LUXFOR PRISM PANELS HEATS UP GASES RISE UP AND AS THEY COOL DOWN THEY DESCEND DOWN THE OTHER LUXFOR PRISM PANEL WHICH KEEPS IT COOL THROUGH HEAT EXCHANGE. THIS IS FURTHER INHANCED BY THE WATER FALLING BETWEEN THE TWO GLASS PANELS.
