Parent-Child Classes
School Readiness Preschool
Parents and children (birth to kindergarten entrance) attend together and enjoy playtime, games, learning experiences, songs, parent discussion, and more. Fees are based on the sliding scale on page 45.
This preschool program offers learning experiences for children prior to entering Kindergarten.
ECFE classes meet either one day or one evening per week for 22 weeks, or 11 weeks.

Social and academic learning skills are addressed through high quality instruction, play, art, music, games and other activities. Our 4-5 year old program meets kindergarten entrance expectations, focusing on readiness skills and is directly aligned with Sauk Rapids-Rice’s kindergarten system.

Receive a reduction in your monthly tuition (not to exceed total monthly amount) if you drive your own and other children to School Readiness. Please call the office at (320) 255-8910 if you are interested in driving, or if you need a ride. The school district does not endorse or arrange driving agreements, but will share names of interested parents. Parents are responsible for driving arrangements. We offer this assistance to help children who may otherwise not be able to attend. We ask parents to avoid sharing rides for convenience and requesting a reduction in fees. Screening in early childhood supports children’s readiness for kindergarten and promotes positive child health and developmental outcomes. All children must be screened prior to kindergarten.
