Clew Bay Flock The flock was established in 2005 with the aim of breeding big strong correct rams to satisfy local demand for commercial sheep producers. In 2011 we started using AI and Embryo Transfer. This has had a massive impact on our flock and has fast forwarded the genetic progress we have made enabling us to compete very successfully at national level. The use of ET has left us in a position to offer some of our top breeding females for sale.

Brideswell Texels Brideswell Texels is based in the village of Brideswell in South Roscommon. The farm has been a commercial sheep and suckler enterprise for over 30 years. During that period, we would have used pedigree Texel rams for our commercial flock.

The Brideswell Texels pedigree flock was established in 2020 with the purchase of females from a number of pedigree flocks including Enniscrone, Clewbay, Silverhill and Hillcrest.

Our new stock ram for 2023, Greenhill Fionn Mac Cumhaill, who was purchased at the Premier Show and Sale in Blessington 2022 for €5,000, has bred extremely well in his first year. Ram lambs sired by Greenhill Fionn Mac Cumhaill won the Overall Champion at Western Region Show and Sale in Ballinasloe 2023 as well as the Novice Champion ram lamb at the West Region Premier Show & Sale 2023. He is also the sire of our Champion Ewe Lamb at the Western Region Annual Female Show and Sale in Roscommon earlier this month.

We are delighted to have 5 ewe lambs on offer at this sale sired by Greenhill Fionn Mac Cumhaill.

CONDITIONS OF SALE 1. The stock will be sold in the order which they appear in the catalogue and the highest bidder on each lot on the fall of the banner will be declared the purchaser.

CHARITY FUNDRAISER

Dara's Legacy Dara Coyne unexpectedly passed away at the age of just six on 22nd December 2022. As Dara and his older brother were both diagnosed with the same form of Ataxia, his family have chosen to fundraise for Ataxia Treatment Research and for the Paediatric ICU, Butterfly Room and Cardiac Department in Crumlin Children's Hospital where Dara was cared for by the amazingly compassionate staff there.

Donations will go directly to these excellent causes.
