Innovative filters for reducing filtration costs During the parts2clean Lenzing Technik will launch two new products which serve the purpose of reducing filtration costs significantly. The HisoFil installs (via conversion kit) up to 10 m2 filter area in a size 2 filter bag. In comparison to conventional
convert-elements for bag filters, this filter is characterized by a very stable pleating (high holding capacity), a secure sealing as well as a low price per area. When given a favorable particle spectrum filtration costs can be reduced by up to 90%. A filter bag with a
doubled filter area (same price per area) allows the installation of smaller housings (half the amount of installed bags) for low quality demands or a considerably longer service life (twice as high due to a lower filtration speed) when higher requirements has to be fulfilled. ‹

Innovative backwash filter The innovative backwash filter Lenzing OptiFil is considered as one of the product highlights of the Lenzing filtration and separation program. It is a fully automatic, continuous system which has already been installed in a variety of applications in the field of low
viscosity media filtration. Due to the patented regeneration systems of the filter even finest filter materials can be cleaned on a durable basis, while featuring lowest reject quantities. By doing so, the particles do not need to be heavy or magnetic. ‹

sizes which are designed to ensure optimum utilization of the batch dimensions of the machine’s working chamber enable efficient cleaning processes. Good accessibility for the cleaning agent and mechanics (e.g. ultrasonics) to the parts as well as their ideal positioning in the workpiece holder also contribute to efficient and cost-optimized processes. Additional savings potential is usually obtained if the design of cleaning baskets also considers up- and downstream processes such as packaging. ‹
