Dry cleaning with CO2 snow after machining and forming Inevitably, machined and stamped parts are contaminated during manufacturing operations. As these residues usually interfere with downstream processes such as joining (welding and adhesive bonding), or assembly and optical gauging, they have to be removed.

The sufficient cleanliness can be achieved by using the environmentally-friendly quattroClean CO2 snow jet technology from acp in a dry, reliable and cost-efficient way. The consistently reliable and repeatable cleaning effect of this system is based on four active mechanisms that

remove particulates (e.g. swarf, flaky burrs) and film-like contaminants (e.g. residues of processing oils, coolant, finger prints) from the entire surface or defined area. The spacesaving and Industry 4.0 compliant cleaning system is equipped with nonwearing two-component ring nozzle technology. It is suitable for manual to fully-automated cleaning applications in single part or series production, and is simple to automate. ‹

Simultaneous cooling, lubricating and cleaning with CO2 snow The dry and reliable quattroClean CO2 snow-jet technology from acp, has been a well understood and proven cleaning method for many years. This technology is being met with growing interest as an alternative to classical cooling strategies in precision machining. Here, the

quattroClean technology with its non-wearing dual-component ring nozzle, is used to simultaneously lubricate, and cool workpieces made from aluminium and plastic, such as PEEK, during machining. The result is that it not only improves productivity by about one third,
