BLASTING MEDIA

RIFATEC GmbH

Polyamide based blasting media for die-cast parts Rifatec presents a blasting media based on polyamide, which has been specially developed for the deburring of die-cast components. Due to its filling, the polyamide blasting media has a high specific weight and thus, a high kinetic energy, which makes the deburring of die-cast components

easily possible. Due to the soft and elastic polyamide base, parts will be deburred but not changed in its shape and dimensions. Batch numbers on the parts stay retained, will not be damaged or destroyed. The percentage of filling of the blasting media can be adjusted.

This allows a spectrum from only deburred surfaces to finished surfaces with uniform gloss. The blasting media can be used in all current blasting systems like hand blasting cabinets, automated blasting equipment and even wheel blast systems. ‹

by special DC/CF centrifugal drive unit with run up to 400rpm. For deburring, polishing, grinding, smoothing, for even delicate and complex workpieces, soft to hard materials, the workpieces are inserted in one of the barrels. The zero-tolerance in risk of part damage is done by a divider-unit for small to medium size workpieces and tailor-made jig-fixtures for large to very large workpieces. ‹

A central part of the surf-finishing system is a robot, which immerses one or multiple work pieces – mounted to a specially designed clamping device – into the work bowl and guides the work piece(s) through the media with pre-programmed movements. This allows for the precise finishing of different shapes and contours as well as specific surface areas on the work pieces. ‹

VIBRATORY FINISHING TECHNOLOGY

RIFATEC GmbH

High-speed centrifugal systems for surface treatment by dry and wet processes Rifatec presents its high-speed centrifugal systems for surface treatment .The machine can be used for wet and dry processes, from aggressive cutting to super finishing (up to RA 0.001micron). Thanks to the combination of many standard sizes and a variety of special designs

with trailor-made construction and technology, processing of both, small to very large workpieces are possible. Small to medium size batches as well as large batches can be processed economically in running times of 30 to 90 minutes, by the ultrahigh G-force generated

Surf-Finisher - the compact plug-and-play solution The compact and highly adaptable plug-and-play system can be easily integrated into existing or new manufacturing lines. To date the deburring, edge radiusing, surface grinding/smoothing and polishing mostly takes place outside of the inline production lines, with a rather

low cost efficiency. The Surf-Finisher now allows for the precise, consistent and cost effective treatment of high value components, inline with single piece workflow. It makes no difference whether the entire surface or only certain surface areas of such complexshaped work pieces must be finished.
