What better time to “Find Jesus” than during the annual Catholic Schools Week?

Students spent the entirety of Catholic Schools Week searching for more than 75 miniature Jesus figurines – about 1-inch tall – hidden around the school in a faith-themed scavenger hunt.

Where could students find Jesus? Everywhere (No, seriously )

Among some of Jesus’ hiding spots this year: on top of a door hinge, inside a courtyard umbrella, in between the leaves of a planter, inside a crack in the courtyard bricks, on top of a hallway caution side, on top of the cougar statue in the courtyard garden, in a Lost & Found cubby and so many more

Students who found Jesus around the campus received a card detailing some ways to be Jesus-like, button to pin on their lanyards and a future dress down pass Meanwhile, students who found Jesus in their classroom – every classroom had a figurine to hide – received a Chick-fil-A voucher, card and button

Here at Nativity, we have a student council that helps make decisions for our school Unfortunately, only students in 5th through 8th grade can participate For our project, we wanted to give some of our younger students a chance to have their voices heard We included representatives from Kindergarten through 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 6th through 8th grade to show how our opinions change as we grow older

We have interviewed one student from each elementary grade, from Kindergarten all the way up to 5th grade. We then asked each one of them what they want to be when they grow up.

Every dream, no matter how big or small, begins with a spark of imagination.

KINDERGARTEN HELPERS KINDERGARTEN HELPERS

"They help me out, they're very nice to me, and they always do things that make me laugh."

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) members play a vital role in supporting kindergarteners with their schoolwork, creating a positive and encouraging environment for younger students. NJHS members often volunteer their time to help the little ones with various tasks, such as reading, writing, and basic math skills.

The performing arts community got together to create this great musical for the school community and our nativity community, giving us a great performance with a great story, teaching lessons and showing that hard work pays off, that you should work hard to accomplish your dreams!

I got the main characters from the performing arts community and interviewed them on how they got to where they were with the musical, with one special quote saying, “well, we learned much from the experience and we worked very hard on it so, I'm glad that people enjoyed the show and got to see the time we put into the musical”- Anonymous

‘The beautification community helped with the backdrop of the musical, showing the skill of art in the musical ’
The actors show their talent for learning the lines and singing the songs

Step into the magic with Dorothy in Wonderland – The Musical! Nativity’s talented middle school performing arts students have brought this whimsical mashup to life, and it’s nothing short of spectacular!

The performance was a total crowd-pleaser! From the eye-catching lights and beautiful stage backdrop to the creative props, crisp new cordless mics, powerful vocals, incredible choreography, and the fabulous stage presence of every cast member this show has it all

Huge shoutout to Ms Kelly for directing this enchanting production, and a big bravo to the entire cast and crew you crushed it!

TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING FIELD TRIP

Nativity's Sports Journalism elective and P E Community classes took a field trip to Amalie Arena, getting a behind-the-scenes look at a gameday for the Lightning The experience was a unique learning opportunity for those interested in sports and journalism/communications-related fields

Students went on a tour of the arena where they learned about the operations, history of the Lightning and more One of the highlights was a pair of students scoring a goal on the synthetic ice sheet outside of the Lightning's locker room The group also saw the Zamboni tunnel, press box, press room and more

After the tour, students watched the Lightning's optional morning skate (a practice) from the stands, seeing the team work through some drills ahead of that night's regular season finale at home against the Panthers.

Nativity students get the thrilling chance to explore the iconic Amalie Arena!

We concluded the 2024–2025 school year with a beautiful and joyful all-school Mass. This final celebration was extra special as we honored our amazing second-graders who recently received their First Holy Communion Dressed in elegant white dresses and sharp suits, they looked absolutely radiant! They sang “How Beautiful” with such joy and heart, lifting the spirits of everyone present Their voices reminded us all of the grace that comes with growing in faith

Congratulations, second graders! May receiving the Holy Eucharist fill your hearts with peace, love, and the light of Christ We’re so proud of you!
