The Preparation of the Church for the Rapture - Revelation - Part XLII

Summary of the president’s message

The Sunday Bible School of March 30th, 2025 was held live, directly from the studios of the Maranatha Christian Church Communications Center, Radio Maanaim and TV Web Maanaim, in the city of Vila Velha, state of Espirito Santo, Brazil, with the participations of pastors Gedelti Gueiros, Gilson Sousa and Josias Junior.

Message from pastor Gilson Sousa:

We greet all our brethren with

the peace of the Lord Jesus! We are starting the Sunday Bible School. The subject to be presented is the book of Revelation: the message of the Holy Spirit resonates in the midst of the Faithful Church, in relation to the prophetic markers that are being fulfilled in our day, in the preparation of the Church for the rapture. Pastor Gilson Sousa presented the answers given by various brethren to the questions posed, as well as various experiences and testimonies.

Message from pastor Gedelti Gueiros:

Once again, we want to situate ourselves in relation to the subjects that are dealt with in Sunday Bible School. What interests us is to talk about the experience we have had today with regard to the operation of the Holy Spirit in our day.

We are the result of what was prophesied about the last days. Time is running out. It’s been almost two thousand years and the door to heaven will soon close. We don’t know the day or the hour, but it will close. But before it closes, it has to be said that we are livingin a world in upheaval.

Everyone can see that. It is clear that there is another world that is destined fordestruction. Families are being affected, especially children. We are in a transitional phase. We are seeing the world surrendering to an uncertain future. But the Faithful Church has no reason to worry. Because she is the master, not the tail, but the head.

She will continue to follow her destiny and her course.

After the two world wars, the

world changed. The world lost its direction. Religion lost its meaning because it ceased to be prophetic, since it professes a historical faith. This faith is riddled with socialist concepts that are leading the world into insolvency. But what mattered to us was Joel’s prophecy:

“And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions. And also on My menservants and on My maidservants.” Joel 2:28-29

After the war, philosophy tried to solve the problem. But it didn’t. What it was supposed to fix, it didn’t. Philosophy has value for man, but it doesn’t transcend, because it comes from human reason. But the great evil of Christianity was not philosophy, but theology, which was based on philosophy. Faith went from being spiritual to being rational. And rational faith does not remove man from the work of creation, because it is within the four measures of the universe.

So, philosophy and theology

are united today. There’s nothing wrong with that, but it doesn’t take man to heaven. Faith has thus become a human, theological and philosophical composition, and no longer needs the Holy Spirit. What theology brought was the explanation of the great modernist theologians that God had died. That was the theology that remained to guide tradition.

Orthodoxy brought nothing to Christianity. That’s why the socialists showed that religion had no value. Today, what we see all over the world are churches that are being closed down because there is no one left to attend services and support the necessary expenses. This is Christianity as it is.

When we, the Work of the Spirit, were faced with these facts, we saw that we were in a chaotic situation.

In 1962, Pope John XXIII held an ecumenical council to bring the Catholic Church into line with modernity. The reason for this was the understanding that the Roman Catholic Church was facing a great difficulty in the post-war period. On the one hand, there was the political issue. The Pope saw that the Roman Catholic Church, under the name of Christianity, would not survive in the face of communism and socialism. So the understanding was that it should join forces with the Protestants. The result was a union with pastors who no longer had faith, who united with idolatry. But the Holy Spirit did not abandon the Gospel.

We are talking about a time of revival in Sardis. This revival is not over. When the Lord called us, we had ecumenism on one side and movements on the other.

The movements began to imitate the errors of Pentecostalism. Several movements emerged from the Baptist church. One of the movements was renewal. The other was the restoration. The restoration was focused on prophecy. They had books of prophecy. They came to believe that the two great leaders would be the two witnesses of the Apocalypse. Other movements came along, such as “Brazil for Christ”, among others.

For us, the Lord showed that obedience was necessary. We began to understand that if the Holy Spirit didn’t have a place in our lives to work, everything would be over.

We are the church of Sardis, the result of the last outpouring. The first outpouring was at Pentecost for the departure of the Church. Now, the

outpouring is for the preparation of the Faithful Church to live in heaven for eternity.

May the Lord Bless us, Pr. Gedelti Gueiros President of the
