In 2022, Inspira Health and Nemours Children’s Health celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Deborah F. Sager Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). In October, NICU graduates and their family members came together at Inspira Medical Center Vineland for a carnival-themed reunion with nurses, neonatologists and other NICU staff.
Since its inception in 2012, the Deborah F. Sager Memorial Fund has donated over $700,000 in total to the NICU to make miracles happen. There has been strong support for the memorial fund coming from individuals and local businesses through the years, including Century Bank ($34,500) and Wawa ($120,000). The Deborah F. Sager NICU has provided advanced care to more than 2,500 premature, low birth-weight and critically ill babies over the past decade.
