Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Inspira introduced this cutting-edge robotic surgery platform that uses advanced intra-operative navigation and imaging technology to improve efficiency and accuracy in orthopedic and neuro-spinal procedures. This allows surgeons to visualize, plan and navigate spinal surgery in real time, without requiring multiple X-rays during a procedure. Learn more.

ELECTIVE PERCUTANEOUS CORONARY INTERVENTION (PCI)

In early 2021, the New Jersey Department of Health made it possible for community hospitals to perform elective PCI procedures—scheduled procedures intended to open blocked coronary arteries with stents in patients with coronary artery disease. In 2022, Inspira Medical Centers Mullica Hill and Vineland began offering elective PCIs to provide patients with safe, high-quality care in their community without the need to schedule a follow-up procedure or be transferred to a tertiary care facility.

RADIOEMBOLIZATION (Y90) FOR LIVER CANCER

This year, Inspira Medical Center Mullica Hill introduced a highly effective treatment option for patients with liver cancer: radioembolization, also known as Y90. This treatment method uses high doses of targeted radiation to destroy the cancer cells in the affected area of the liver without damaging the healthy cells around them. Learn more.

BLOOD FLOW RESTRICTION THERAPY (BFRT)

Inspira’s Rehab Care program introduced a technique to help patients make greater strength gains while lifting lighter loads during physical and occupational therapy. BFRT is conducted using a tourniquet on the patient’s arm or leg to cause brief, intermittent occlusion of arterial and venous blood flow. This method can be used on a wide variety of patients recovering from surgery. Learn more.
