Survivorship 2023 Donor Impact Update This year, Inova Schar Cancer’s Survivorship Program continues to grow with increasing collaborations, participation and interest. Below are a few highlights: Breast Cancer Rehab Program: 3 times per year, 168 participants via Zoom Journey to a Healthier You: 2 times per year, 50 participants via Zoom in May Survivorship Nutrition: monthly (35 attendees) and monthly group “Weight Management After Breast Cancer Diagnosis” (26 attendees) Brain Fog 4-Week Series: 63 participants via Zoom in March One-Time Programs: Gynecological Cancer Symposium, Bladder Cancer Symposium, Turning the Page: Art Therapy for Survivors, Young Adult Collaboration with Smith Center, Hope Connections & Ulman Foundation “Cancer Gave Me Menopause” and “Talking with Kids About Cancer”
Completed Survivorship Care Plans in the Breast Surgery Clinics per the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers requirements Increased referrals to Inova Fairfax Medical Center Rehabilitation Services to include Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech At Inova Saville Cancer Screening and Prevention Center, the Survivorship Clinic is now open by disease site
