Polish Presidency in the Council of the EU 01. 07. - 31. 12.2011 Dynamic, positive energy and solidarity are the values that symbolize the logo. It shows Poland as a modern and young at heart state, which initiates the positive changes in Europe. The author of the Presidency logo is Jerzy Janiszewski - the author of the "Solidarity" logo which known around the world today, this logo became a historic symbol of the Polish road to freedom and the democratic changes in this part of the world.

Foreign delegations and journalists visiting Poland during the presidency also receive a package of recipes for the Polish cuisine, arranged in the modern way by 16 chefs, including three foreigners, who work every day in the best Polish restaurants. The starting point for each of the recipes is the product generally associated with Polish cuisine (such as herring, cucumber, buckwheat, poppy, game). Each recipe precedes the product description which is understood by foreign customers, including its cultural context.
