Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing cause-based organizations and individuals the opportunity for fundraising through entertainment events such as live theatre, dinner theatre, comedy/improv, dance showcases & workshops.

In Motion is proud to be the only theatrical company in the San Joaquin Valley to donate a percentage of their profits from every event, production and performance to a collaborating organization which supports a worthwhile cause.

We are also dedicated to creating win/win scenarios for small to medium sized local businesses through vending and advertising opportunities at our events.

In short, In Motion Theatre Company brings people together to enjoy live entertainment while giving back to the community and supporting local commerce.

In Motion Theatre’s Proposed Future In July 2014, In motion Theatre was conceptualized. By August of that year pre-production began on it’s first production A Zinful Murder. By October it was in full rehearsals and performed for a live audience the first week of December. Since its inception, IMT has continued to move forward. Constantly looking for venues and beneficiaries that could benefit from a fundraising production. February followed with VDAY and The 24 Hour Theatre Challenge in August. One item that was missing, was a production that they could put up with very low production costs and in a very short amount of time. In September, Topsy Turvy’s Flying Circus Improv Troupe was created and modeled on ABC Family’s Whose Line is it Anyway? Now, IMT would like to continue to grow. With a proposed production schedule of a minimum of 2 events per month, we feel we would be ideally situated to bring entertainment, and awareness of noble causes to the San Joaquin Valley.

Finding a Permanent Home For the theatre to become successful, lower production costs and maximize donations to worthy causes, it needs to secure its own permanent venue. In April of 2015 it s officers began scouting in Lodi for the perfect space. They found a building with the right amount of room for performances, rehearsals and events. 210 W. Pine Street. With 8,000 sqft of open space, it is the ideal place to build a theatre. Consisting of a •

Calendar Girls Written by Tim Firth When Annie's husband John dies of leukemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow WI members to pose nude with them for an "alternative" calendar, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the women's charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales.

2016 Official Season The Wedding Singer – The Musical Written by Chad Beguelin & Tim Herlihy Lyricist: Chad Beguelin It's 1985 and rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart is New Jersey's favorite wedding singer.
