"Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again"

"Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" es una película musical del 2018 y secuela de "Mamma Mia!" del 2008. Dirigida por Ol Parker, la película cuenta con un elenco estelar que incluye a Meryl Streep, Amanda Seyfried, Lily James, Pierce Brosnan, Colin Firth, Stellan Skarsgård y Cher La historia se desarrolla en dos líneas de tiempo. Por un lado, vemos cómo Sophie se prepara para reabrir el hotel de su madre en la isla griega de Kalokairi, mientras sufre con la pérdida de Donna, su madre fallecida. Por otro lado, viajamos al pasado para conocer la vida amorosa de Donna cuando era joven. "Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again" está disponible para ver en varias plataformas como Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube y iTunes.

La película utiliza los éxitos musicales de ABBA para contar su historia, al igual que su predecesora. Los números musicales son alegres y contagiosos, y las canciones de ABBA se entrelazan de manera creativa en la trama. Esta pelícual recibió varios premios y nominaciones Algunos de los premios más destacados que ganó fueron Teen Choice Awards 2018, Hollywood Music in Media Awards 2018 y Women Film Critics Circle Awards 2018. Además de estos premios, la película también recibió varias nominaciones en diferentes categorías, como Mejor Película Musical o Comedia en los Critics' Choice Movie Awards y los Golden Trailer Awards.

Para mí, esta película fue muy divertida y emocional. Estuve entretenida todo el tiempo y nunca estuve aburrida mientras veía la película. Además me gustaron mucho los tipos de canciones que utilizaron en el musical ya que soy fanática de ABBA.

Festivales de verano en Puerto Rico

1. Festival Nacional del Güiro en Guayama: Este festival destaca el güiro, un instrumento de percusión emblemático de la música puertorriqueña. Suele tener lugar en julio en Guayama y ofrece conciertos, competiciones de güiro, bailes folclóricos y más.

2. Festival del Macabeo en Jayuya: Celebrado: a principios de julio, este festival en Jayuya rinde homenaje a la cultura y la música jíbara puertorriqueña. Presenta conciertos de música típica, competiciones de baile, artesanías locales y gastronomía tradicional.

3. Festival de la China Dulce en

Las Marías: Las Marías, conocido por sus plantaciones de café, celebra el Festival de la China Dulce en julio. Este evento resalta la deliciosa fruta local, la china dulce, con degustaciones, concursos, música en vivo y actividades para toda la familia.

4. Festival del Marisco en Cabo

Rojo: Este festival gastronómico se celebra en Cabo Rojo a mediados de julio y destaca los mariscos frescos de la región. Los visitantes pueden disfrutar de una amplia

Natación Surf

La natación es una excelente opción para mantenerte fresco y activo durante el verano. Puedes nadar en la playa, en una piscina pública o en un lago cercano.

Si vives cerca de la costa y te gusta la adrenalina, el surf puede ser una actividad emocionante para probar. Aprender a surfear puede llevarte tiempo, pero una vez que lo domines, ¡te divertirás mucho!

Voleibol de playa Ciclismo

El voleibol de playa es un deporte popular en el verano, ya que puedes jugarlo en la arena con amigos o unirte a torneos locales. Es una forma divertida de mantenerse activo y socializar al mismo tiempo.

Explora tu ciudad o entorno natural en bicicleta. Puedes hacer paseos largos o simplemente dar un paseo relajante mientras disfrutas del buen clima.

Senderismo Stand-up paddleboarding

El verano es un momento ideal para explorar senderos y hacer caminatas en la naturaleza. Investiga las rutas locales y lleva contigo agua y protector solar para mantenerte hidratado y protegido del sol.

Tenis

Si prefieres actividades más estructuradas, el tenis es una excelente opción. Puedes jugar en canchas públicas o unirte a un club local para socializar y mejorar tus habilidades.

El paddleboarding es una actividad acuática relajante y divertida. Puedes remar en un lago, río o incluso en el mar mientras trabajas tus músculos y disfrutas del paisaje.

Fútbol o baloncesto

Organiza partidos amistosos con amigos o únete a ligas locales de fútbol o baloncesto. Estos deportes de equipo te mantendrán activo y te permitirán disfrutar del aire libre.

Lugares para vacacionar en Puerto Rico

La Palguera

Se ubica en Lajas, y es a dos horas y medias de San Juan. Rodeado de agua ,se encuentra en el lado suroeste de la isla. Tiene muchas atracciones acuáticas como: la bahía bioluminiscente, alquilar un bote y visitar los distintos cayos y manglares y snorkel.

Vieques y Culebra

Estas islas tiene paisajes maravillosos en distintas playas. Se les considera las mejores playas del mundo por sus aguas cristalinas. Estas playas solo se encuentran a 15 millas de la isla central y puedes llegar en ferry, avión o un bote Flamenco en Culebra y la Bahía de Mosquito de Vieques son las atracciones más divertidas y únicas que puedes encontrar.

Cayey

Aquí puedes encontra la paz que necesitas alojándote de la ciudad. Puedes disfrutar de diversos restaurantes como El Cuñao, rico en lechón y comida típica navideña y El Mesón de Melquiades, que tienen distintos platos y disfrutar de maravillosas vistas hacia las montañas.

Utuado

En este pueblo puedes conectarte con la naturaleza con distintas actividades.

Incluyendo ir al río Tanamá a hacer kayak y disfrutar de las cuevas. También puedes caminar por puentes colgantes, montar caballos y saborear un delicioso café por las diferentes haciendas.

Victoria practically vibrated in her seat. Outside the classroom window, the sun's heat made her happy. Every tick of the clock echoed like a drumbeat in her ears, counting down the seconds until the glorious, knowledge-free expanse of summer.

Math equations swam before her eyes, the onceintriguing world of quadratic formulas replaced by visions of beach umbrellas and ice cream cones. History class faded into background noise, overpowered by the daydreams of poolside lounging with her friends.

Finally, with a flourish that seemed to shake the very foundations of the school, the teacher announced, "That's it for today, class! Enjoy your summer!"

Victoria rocketed out of her chair, the forgotten backpack slung carelessly over one shoulder. The first blissful weeks of summer were a whirlwind of sunshine, laughter, and forgetting. Days they were melted into each other, filled with lazy afternoons by the pool, late-night movie marathons with friends, and the utter absence of textbooks.

But as the lazy days of July bled into August, a creeping sense of unease began to gnaw at Victoria. A stray comment from her mom about "being prepared for the new school year" sent a boom of panic through her. Cracking open an old textbook, she was met with a sickening sense of unfamiliarity. The once-understood algebra concepts now resembled a cryptic code, and the historical figures she'd sworn were etched in her brain seemed to have vanished like summer smoke. The "summer brain drain" had begun.

Po ejemplo, en Argent se remonta a la formación de la Federación Universitaria Argentina en 1918, marcando una lucha por la democratización educativa. Se celeb para reconocer la importancia de los estudiantes en la sociedad.

En esta fecha, los estudiantes conmemoran su rol con actividades sociales y recreativas. Para tener éxito como estudiante en este día y en general, es fundamental equilibrar el estudio el tiempo libre, organizarse eficazmente, participar en actividades extracurricular colaborar con compañeros, cu del bienestar fí emocional, y mantener una a positiva y perseverante a desafíos académ

As many of you know, Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, poet, and literary critic. Born in Boston in 1809, he faced several personal tragedies and financial problems throughout his life. But he was a very talented writer with a unique style that can still be seen in the work of many writers today.

First of all, Poe's early life was rather abnormal. His father left the family and he lost his biological mother at just two years old. He was informally adopted by a wealthy merchant named John Allan (though their relationship was often stormy, due in part to their strong-willed personalities) and his wife Frances Keeling Valentine. Despite all of this, Poe's intelligence and curiosity led him to pursue a career in writing, and he quickly mastered the art of writing shortstories and poetry.

One of Poe's most significant contributions to literature was his development of the modern short-story. Most of his stories, such as "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Fall of the House of Usher," and "The Murders in the Rue Morgue," are famous for their psychological depth, eerie atmosphere, and innovative narrative. Poe's stories often explored dark themes, including madness, obsession, and the supernatural. His influence can be seen in the work of various writers, such as Stephen King and Daniel Hoffman, who followed in his footsteps.

In addition to his work in the short story sector, Poe was also a wonderful poet. His poems, such as "The Raven," "Annabel Lee," and "A Dream Within a Dream," are known for their haunting beauty and poetic mastery. Poe's poetry often dealt with themes of loss, grief, and the fragility of human life, and his unique poetic voice has inspired generations of both readers and writers.

Beyond his own creative works, Poe was also a well-known literary critic, and his essays and reviews helped shape the critical discourse of his time. In his critical work, Poe was known for his insistence on rigorous analysis and refusal to compromise his artistic principles. His influence can be seen in the work of later critics and scholars who have sought to understand the complexities of Poe's legacy.

Despite facing many hardships in his life, Poe's contributions to literature have endured and continue to inspire others today. His unique mixture of psychological depth, an eerie atmosphere, and poetic dexterity have made him one of the most iconic and influential writers in American history, and his legacy continues to inspire and captivate readers and writers around the world.

And here follow a few brief summaries of some of Poe’s works mentioned above, “The Tell-Tale Heart,” “The Fall of the House of Usher,” “The Murders in the Rue Morgue,” and “Annabel Lee.”

“The Tell-Tale Heart”

In Edgar Allan Poe's "The Tell-Tale Heart," we are introduced to an unreliable narrator who ends up obsessed with an old man ' s "vulture eye. " The story delves into the protagonist's descent into madness as he ends up taking the life of the old man he was fixated on. Poe's writing is incredibly vivid and descriptive, making it easy for readers to fully immerse themselves in the narrative and his use of tension-building techniques, such as foreshadowing and repetition, create a sense of unease that intensifies as the story progresses.

“The Fall of the House of Usher”

Edgar Allan Poe's "The Fall of the House of Usher" is another of Poe's Gothic horror stories, which revolves around the Usher family and their decaying mansion. The narrative is evokes a sense of sadness and darkness, and explores themes of mental illness and the supernatural, where the curse of the Usher family adds an overall feeling of unease and, like the house, sets the scene for this chilling tale.

“The Murders in the Rue Morgue”

In “The Murders in the Rue Morgue" we are introduced to C. Auguste Dupin, one of the Poe’s most famous characters. The story takes place in Paris, where Dupin uses his detective skills to solve the brutal murder of two women. Poe's masterful storytelling and intriguing plot twists keep readers engaged as they try to solve the mystery alongside the Dupin throughout the story. With its vivid imagery, interesting characters, and clever narrative, "The Murders in the Rue Morgue" has become one of the many timeless classics that captivate readers to this day.

“Annabel Lee”

"Annabel Lee" by Edgar Allan Poe is a poem about the narrator's deep love for a woman named Annabel Lee, and how her untimely death causes the narrator to experience profound grief and longing. The poem ' s themes mirror Poe's own life experiences, particularly the death of his wife Virginia Eliza Clemm Poe, who died of tuberculosis at a young age and left him in a state of mourning. "Annabel Lee" shares similarities with other Poe poems that explore the theme of the death of a beautiful woman, such as "The Raven" and "Ulalume." Overall, this poem is yet another testament to Poe's poetic abilities, contributing to his enduring legacy.

Día Internacional contra la Homofobia

Actualmente, el tema de la homofobia surge mucho en conversaciones. El 17 de mayo, se celebra el Día Internacional contra la Homofobia, y como parte de la celebración, queríamos indagar el sentir del profesorado con respecto a este tema. Esto crea un ambiente más cómodo y seguro en el colegio.

Me atrevería a decir que los profesores están más que orientados, así que aquí están las entrevistas de algunos profesores.
